Office politics is one of the biggest reasons for frustration

It's not the number of hours that get you... I worked 14 hours regularly at my job, but the environment and boss were so supportive, that I felt like working such hours and was passionate about it. In fact, my boss always said it is a sign of efficiency to wrap up your work on time and go home. The main problem in India which ruins people's lives and sometimes careers (because they quit their jobs ) is because of poor environment including rudeness, micromanaging, committing to tight deadlines without consulting the team, feudal mindset, intrusive questions, politicking... basically all these boil down to poor managerial and people skills. If these are taken care of, any company can be a great place to work in.

The main problem is most of us lacks the ability to question things out....i mean something is not feeling in sync with ur health it's clear that it is gonna be damaging in long term... But we ignore it....just because sb kr rhe h...mje vi Krna chahiye mindset....☘️ We lacks personal boundary I

Work culture in our country seriously needs to be changed, I think if someone is working for 8 to 9 hours in a day that is enough. Why not hire more people if you want people to be available 24x7? Also, there shall be a grievance redressal mechanism to be implemented for employees to raise their concerns regarding management, And if found guilty companies should be made to pay hefty fine in crores.

Toxic culture... is when you advocate your opinion to your senior and it's patta saaf termination.. "When you're not a favourite, refuse to be a 'yes boss' type, and face nepotism and your boss's mood swings, it can lead to a lack of respect as an employee and hinder career growth."

I feel like flexible working arrangements or remote work is one step to helping workers balance their work and life. Corporates being adamant that workers need to be in office(though flexible options are available) is the first sign of toxicity, but unfortunately for the fear of workers livelihood this is accepted as new normal.

Babasaheb Ambedkar was reformer with respect to labour laws aswell It was he who implemented the reforms seen today in the labour sector. It was Ambedkar who brought eight hours of work, minimum wages, ESI, PF, etc. for the workers. It was Ambedkar who declared that the strike is the utmost right of the workers / labours. In India, the Occupational Safety, Health, and Working Conditions (OSH) Code, 2020, governs working hours and overtime. This code subsumes the Factories Act of 1948 and other major labor laws. According to the OSH Code, the maximum working hours are: Hours per day: 8-9 hours per day, or 12 hours in some regions Hours per week: 48 hours per week Total hours per day: 10.5 hours per day, including overtime Total hours per week: 60 hours per week, including overtime Employers must also provide workers with a rest period during the workday. For example, workers are entitled to a 30-60 minute break every four to five hours. study of parts of Constitution should become mandatory in schools, ug, pg levels .

I work with managers who glorify overwork. They don’t see a fault in their system but they say “This is how it works here” . People with no stress and logging off early are considered “not eligible for promotion” . I know a manager who told me , if u have to get promoted , you need to work on additional things than project and if that means u need to work on weekend you have to do it and you will not get promoted otherwise. I am surely not going to do that. My promotion is not above my health and personal wellbeing and my family. I will find a new job, but markets are also not good. So just bearing with this bullshit till then

What office goers are facing today in india are just the symptoms that ppl are discussing .what is the core reason that the corporate sector is subjecting their employees to such miserability.?the real underlying core reason? And the truth is the employers/ companies are earning good revenue at the cost of an office goers life.
