How do you trade support and resistance? How do you determine whether a support or resistance level will hold or not? When is support or resistance more likely to hold? There are a few rules we need to look at and look at certain scenarios where a support or resistance level is more likely to hold. At this moment in time, in summer - right now its lunch time, its relatively quiet and you know what, support/resistance levels are more likely to hold in such circumstances. Why is that? This goes back to the basics of support and resistance levels. A support levels is a level where price has turned around at in the past. On the other hand if the market is all over the place (prone to wild swings) then it might well overshoot. OK.P

Great video as always but I need help. I have a good setup but I end up deviating from my strategy trying to predict the price movement instead of waiting for confirmation and end up with massive losses. How can stop this itching finger and this bad habit of jump in the market? Thank you

I do it straight on a Trading View chart. Mark the time of trade and write the reasoning in text and draw the pattern (if one).

S&R no longer works these days, to many fake breakouts. Its better to use candle stick pattern for precise entry/exit 😝

I didn't really notice till I started trading Forex full time, but for me S&R levels don't mean shit. Price just blasts through any level you deem to be S&R, it's all pie in the sky. Of course there are genuine levels of interest, but meaningful ones are few and far between. Most people draw S&R lines every time the price has a minor hiccup, absolutely useless. If you've done some statistical analysis on a particular stock, and S&R levels give you a positive expectancy then fair play I guess. I think the majority of people do it wrong anyway.
