My favourite artist is John Avon. Loved his artwork for land cards in paritcular in mtg. Had the pleasure of meeting the gentlemen at a GP in London many years back (and he signed a hundred or so cards for me).

I wouldn't touch a single thing until at least July/August. People are underestimating how large a card pool this is and prices won't settle on singles for a long time. Alpha and Beta don't even remotely match up, ask prices are 2-3x the previously purchased price with no buyers. Not enough people are playing and brewing to consume this many cards efficiently and determine the meta for a game that most people will be playing casually at home, a few times a month. I'm still able to sell alpha foil uniques for 50% more than I paid for them only a month prior and in some cases like Magnetic Muzzle, Highland Princess, Star Seeds, Courtesan etc, I've been able to freely and cheaply snag them back up in auctions with only a handful of bids. We're still waaaaay too early with Sorcery and just like the other 300+ tcg's before it, we need to just enjoy it while it's here and wait and see. Everything else is straight gambling.

Still waiting for Beta Deck Boxes to arrive at my local shop to support them. Picked up a couple Booster Boxes early at our local shop for about $130/each for a friend and me. We started playing his decks and enjoying the game. Will probably wait to open my booster box until after I get the starter decks, but I see prices have climbed on the booster boxes.

After the AI debacle at Wizards, Dave Rapoza would be a good addition to Sorcery. I think in the US it's best to buy right now since we have an endless supply of boxes from TC. I would sell if I was in the UK/Europe since they seem to have lack of product.

I actually bought a bunch of Alpha right before Beta dropped. Most prices were half or 1/3 of their market prices, so I saw your "time to buy" theory payoff first hand. Got my full playset of Alpha and Beta, and need a little under 30 cards for my Beta Foil set! Definitely gonna wait until right before AL drops to buy 👊🏻💢

Arthurian legends will cause select cards to spike in alpha and beta, as there will be some nice broken combos to come. Uniques such as cores, pstone, h princess, deathdealer, courtesan t, pact with D, i expect to only rise. I've placed my bets on select elites. Regardless if they spike, I love the cards. I enjoy the feel Moreso than vintage MTG. Gameplay is lovely aswell. Breath of fresh air it all is in the TCG world

On a stream when I was opening alpha boxes, someone said I pronounced courtesan Thais wrong. And they said it’s pronounced like “Parmesan” so I just rolled with it.

people are buying alot of non foils and the foils take about 4 times as long to sell. if the game keeps growing the prices will keep going up. if you love the cards buy the cards.

Too late! I already bought my master set of Beta Sorcery. I recommend getting 2 of each Mix right now. Yes, they used to be cheaper, but they are the most undervalued cards in Sorcery. They are the "Dark Ritual" of the game.

@@tims8326 Can still order from there. I live in Greece and ordered a case of boxes. Paid quite a bit on shipping and tax though. But still the average price per box was bellow 200 euros
