Thanks for all of your advice and tips. We just got back from our Italy and France trip about 10 days ago. It was fantastic! We had a cute Airbnb in Florence right under the dome of the Duomo and we had a huge private terrace. It was only $68 a night! The price has gone up since, so we got a great deal. We took a day trip to Venice and then traveled to Rome using the Italo trains. In Rome we also had a terrace, but smaller. It was right near the Campo dei Fiori. From Rome we flew to Paris, then Nice. We're still on cloud nine. Your videos helped things go very smoothly. We knew how to book train tickets, when to go to major sites like the Vatican. We even saw the Colosseum for free from the place you suggested after visiting San Pietro in Vincoli to see Michaelangelo's Moses. We went to Up Sunset Down bar at the top of Rinascente Department store to see the sun set behind St Peter's dome right before going to see the Trevi Fountain. Thank you, thank you! We can't wait to go back.

Thanks. We are here now and find the weather a little chilly. Some days you need a light jacket and some days you need scarf's. we went to Easter mass today at the Vatican and I was very cold. Yesterday 73 degrees so just come prepared. We will be here until the end of May ending in Sorrento,

I love all your videos. Can you recommend an airline from the US to Italy?

We don't have a favourite airline, it all depends on the route and price.

Hi Guys , great Video as always. We chatted before, we arrive in Rome on 1st June.. as you know 2nd June is Italy National day. We have 4days in Rome...then Florence, then Milan....followed by 3 more days at Lake Como...We trying to gather as much information about 2 June Celebration. Greetings from Sunny Cape Town South Africa
@TravelAddictsLife2 жыл бұрын
Hi Wayne thank you for your comment, June 2nd celebration usually have a big military parade in Rome, other than that is just a normal holiday. If you want to see the parade you’ll need to go on Via Dei Fori Imperiali between the Colosseum and Piazza Venezia 👍🏻

Dear Rick and Andrea, I love your videos, so fun to watch and really useful and informative. I'm planing to travel to Rome in May, and wondering how many vaccine do I need to travel there? I got 1 Janssen last October. Is it enough or do I need PCR test to enter the country?
@TravelAddictsLife2 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much Csillia for your nice comment. Regarding your vaccine we are not sure because they don’t use Jenssen anymore in Italy. I would suggest you contact the closest Italian Consulate to get more accurate information

I've been planning our 5 week trip to Italy for a year nw and our plan is to be there Sept/Oct 2024 - still a while away I know. My birthday is mid October but I was wondering if start of Sept to 7-8 Oct or mid Sept to 18-20 Oct would be better dates? Our trip itinerary is arrive Milan and travel straight to Lake Como for 4 nights, Dolomites - Ortisel 3 nts, Cortina 2 nts, Venice 3 nts, Cinque Terre - 4nts, Tuscany - Siena 6 nts, Florence 3 nts, Amalfi 5 nts, Rome 4 nts - fly home. So we are starting at the top and working our way down to the mid-bottom. I want the water still to be warm enough to swim in o Amalfi which is why I am questioning the earlier Sept rather than mid Sept start.
@TravelAddictsLife2 жыл бұрын
The water might be ok at the end of September but the temperature outside can be cold, if you start in early September on the Amalfi coast it would be better

Hey Mustafa, thank you for your comment. No once you are in Italy you do not need to do any more tests to go to Olbia. Here is the link of the Italian Ministry of Health for you: www.salute.gov.it/portale/nuovocoronavirus/dettaglioNotizieNuovoCoronavirus.jsp?lingua=english&menu=notizie&p=dalministero&id=5815

@@TravelAddictsLife Hello I have one more question I emailed to Volotea airline and asked a question about COVID testing they replied and say we need to have QR code to travel from Rome to olbia is QR code is same as vaccinations card and we will do booster shot before we arrive in Italy is it enough documents please let me know I will appreciate it and one more time thanks
@TravelAddictsLife2 жыл бұрын
We don’t really know why they told you that. An official vaccination certificate is should be more than enough.

Hello gentlemen. This is Patrick sparks from Oxford Alabama. Thanks again for reaching out to me earlier. Would you recommend renting a car in Sicily. Me and Rhonda my girlfriend would like to see the countryside. Maybe we will stay in a bed and breakfast. Is there much to do and see. Would you do this trip or Naples and the amalfi coast.
@TravelAddictsLife2 жыл бұрын
Hi Patrick they are both amazing options, Sicily has a lot to offer and see. It is definitely a great option and probably less busy than the Amalfi coast. It is a very tough choice indeed
