I visited Stockholm in early November this year. It was absolutely stunning, incredible city and had the best time! Unfortunately, every time I tried to use Swedish the other person responded in English anyway. Perhaps I need more lessons with Fun Swedish. Preferring not to waste peoples' time, I eventually dropped the Swedish altogether and just spoke English for the rest of the trip. Hopefully I can improve enough to stay Swedish for my next trip. 👍

I visited Stockholm this year in July as my partner is a teacher and he has to take his holidays when English schools and colleges have their holidays. We are planning to visit Stockholm again next October during the college autumn holiday so we can see another season there 🍁🍂

Both times I've visited it was in the fall (late September through late October)... it's my favorite season anyway and it was the perfect time to visit. The trees and the sunshine with a crispness in the air is the best. Also, there are never too many other tourists, which means that a lot of places I go, there are just a lot of Swedes... helps me listen in on conversations and practice my Swedish!

I would love to visit Sweden in winter or fall. I live in a subtropical climate, so I get my fair share of hot weather, pools, rivers and the sea. But I have never been in the snow or a place that "looks like Halloween" in the movies. Whenever I go somewhere, I like to focus on the nature, the landscapes, architecture and historical sites.

I learned that "dear" is Kara (sorry that I mispelled it) in Swedish. I'm looking for a translation of a term used in a tv show from the 1960s starring Swedish American actress INger Stevens. Her tv mother, played by American Swede Alice Frost called her daughter Kara linje or linde or linna. I'd love to know what the term is in English.

Vintern är bäst, januari-februari kanske, när det är tillräckligt med snö och kallt. Men jag skulle gärna bo alltid i Sverige. Det finns inte många land var man kan gömma sig för hemskt varmt. (I mean, it's hot almost everywhere, and only a few places like Sweden have adequate summers that are less hot)

My daughter and I will be there in May next year. We will visit Malmö, Stockholm and Abisko. I expect it will be quite nice in Malmö and Stockholm but quite cold in Abisko?

May is a great month to come to Sweden. In Malmö and Stockholm it will be spring. In Abisko it will be colder, but not sooo cold (at least from a Swedish point of view). I think you can expect 7 °C (daytime) to - 8 °C (night time). Hope you have a great time in Sweden!

Wrong wrong wrong! Come in June, July definitely go to Gotland, the best tourist part of Sweden. There are museums, A lot about history, vikings, etc.beaches to swim. Visby bäst meditida staden i norra Europa.

I am not 100 % sure (you might need to contact the Swedish Embassy in the US) but I think you don't need VISA if you come from the US.

Yes! A video about that will come very soon (we just filmed it) maybe in 2 - 3 weeks. But just so you know "gillar" and "tycker om" mean the same thing and can be used interchangeably but more about it in the future video 🤩
