For me it was the compete opposite. My mom was more passive-aggressive about her homophobia, but my dad was super rude. I cried every night cause of him, while my mom just said "ok no sleepovers with girls then." . I'm back in the closet now. It was THAT bad.

Yeah if you are uncomfortable with the label lesbian. I’ve seen a bunch of nb people who still use the term lesbian but it might make more sense to your mom if you say you are just into girls :)

Yes absolutely, as long as you know yourself and just feel that its right, then you can identify as whoever you are, you don't need experience or to kiss/be with a girl or whichever gender to determine your sexuality just as long as you feel that its right, hope this helped :)

I told one of my friends that I have a crush on someone because a couple weeks ago she asked if I liked them and I lied and said no but I do and did but then I felt bad that I lied to her so I told her that I like them but I think she was confused at first because when I told her 1 she thought I had told the other person and 2 has given me a plan to 1 get this person to like me back 2 tell this person I like them and 3 start a romantic relationship with them. At no point did I want to tell them I like them because I can't do anything close to confrontation like I'm perfectly fine with just keeping this in my head and never acting upon it also just to make it even weirder they are cousins so that is... that btw my crush is a girl that uses she/her pronouns and she's bi but I used they to not get confused with pronouns It would be alot easier to just tell her Hey I have a crush on you do you feel the same way And see her reaction but nooo emotions have to have plan and be complicated Also I wish I knew how she felt without asking her but were so different I can't ever tell she's sarcastic and dark but she's also sweet and amazing but I'm more no sarcasm rainbows yay I have an example of how different we are I have her as hail satan in my phone and she has me as rainbow pencil quite different wow this is a long comment sorry but will someone give me their opinion on what I should do?

How can you find queer people or people part of the lgbtqia+ community within school, specifically high school? I really want to try to find more friends part of the lgbtqia+ community to talk to and be friends with so that maybe I can connect with them in some way

i had the same issue but i made friends and made sure they knew they could trust me and eventually they told me if they were lgbtq+ now i have a mix of both lgbtq+ friends and straight friends but theyre all great friends
