I knew I liked girls (I'm a guy), so I knew I wasn't gay. But I think internalized homophobia and especially biphobia pushed me away from thinking of myself as bi, even when I had crushes on guys. I remember one of my guy friends came out as gay at some point senior year, and I was so jealous of him and I wanted to tell him my feelings for him, but I still thought of myself as straight and I did NOT want to be the gay kid my senior year. Going into college, I think the biggest sign was that one of my male friends talked about wanting to have a threesome with his girlfriend and I flat-ass asked him to cut me in. He said "eww, no I meant with another girl". From then on, I've basically completely suppressed my feelings for men. I didn't come out to myself as bisexual until 2 weeks ago. When I came out to myself, I was watching a video about signs that you're bisexual, and I was ticking all the boxes and I got really shook. Then I started to bring up suppressed memories of crushes and other signs throughout my life. Music choices, weird encounters with male friends and my infatuation with LGBT+ community over the years. I literally wrote like a 2 page paper about all of the signs. I was kicking myself by the end for not having figured it out already.

Funniest thing happened today. I was at psicology class and my teacher said he liked my style. So he asks if i consider it was similar to my colegues, so i said no. I think one of them was actually a boy, but I decided to make her a girl because she had flowers. MY childhood signs that i was bi: i unironically watched a mud wrestling video when i was in elementary school. i “looked up to” these two girls in high school. when my mom said something biphobic, it REALLY affected me, and this is when i was still straight. i took up one of my friend’s offer to eat me out and I STILL CONSIDERED MYSELF STRAIGHT WTF i started to really question my sexuality during quarantine, and i realized that i’m bisexual :)

a week before that great realization of my bisexuality, i had 3 dreams where i had a wife, and in one of the dreams, i had a kid with her. looking back at my childhood, I don't find many indicators of my bisexuality, only that I liked to look at my Barbie's boobs. Since heteronormativity was so ingrained in me since birth from my Evangelical upbringing and I knew I liked guys, I just assumed I was straight. I didn't know I could like both. it wasn't until my highschool years when I started noticing the small indicators. I would always blush when a girl hit on me or complimented me. i would always wonder what it was like to kiss and be with a girl and wish it was acceptable (from my parents) for me to have a girlfriend. It wasnt until recent years were i would have dreams about having a wife. those are the happiest dreams i've ever had and realizing those are the happiest dreams right after i awake. most of my dreams are nightmares and stress dreams, with a few decent ones in between, and i get so happy when i dream about having a wife

This video made me kinda think when i first heard about it. then i remembered a conversation i had with an old friend of mine a few months ago. So basically we have a carnival thing in my country where we dress up like halloween. My school had a costume contest when i was in 3rd or 4th grade and i remember a guy crossdressing, at least twice. And after my friend reminded me of that guy i remembered i was kinda fascinated by him ngl, lots of questions i was afraid to ask. Then in 7th grade we went to a field trip to a beach and i remember absolutely freezing when seeing on of my classmates (a tall lanky guy) shirtless, like when you have a crush on someone and make accidental eye contact. Then in the summer break I found out about femboys (i got into anime around then i think. cant remember) and i was kinda in denial but i really liked them, and i had reoccuring dreams about the boy from the beach, and still had a hopeless crush on a girl in my class. then in 8th grade i said "screw it, im bi." and started coming out. then after trying to date a few girls i realized I'm homoromantic as well

I am Bisexual. However, here are some signs I was not straight as a child... 1.my first crush was a girl. I wanted to keep her safe, hold her, share food with her, and share all my time with her. The way I felt about was her was different than how I felt about other friends. I thought she was beautiful and wanted her for me. (can't believe I thought I was straight) 2. I had a crush on Raven from Teen Titans and Kida from the movie Atlantis. I also had a crush on several male characters and talked about these people a lot more with my parents. 3. I shipped two women from movies and tv shows and thought nothing of it. 4. I did not change the gender when singing lyrics to songs when I thought about singing it to another person. 5. I got called "Lesbian" in school. I was offended not because I was straight but because I knew I wasn't. I felt mislabeled. 6. super uncomfortable being caught by other females watching them change. 7. I watched other LGBTQ+ couples on youtube and watched documentaries/tv shows with LGbtq+ characters.

I also hung out with guys and have been dating guys but when I was around girls in high school with sports I didn’t really pay attention to it but I started liking how girls look without knowing that I actually liked them when I was dating and liking guys. 1. I basically had girlfriends in kindergarden 😂 There were two, and they were not in my group. And my friends didn' t really know them and we always met up separately. 2. I also felt really really uncomfortable in changing rooms. I am really self conscious though. But I could not understand how everyone didn't feel horrible. 3. I have come out to a few people as bisexual. As I have thought back through life I can remember many friends I had and found out they were gay. I remember times when people would ask me how I attended a specific church since I was gay. That was from one of my study partners of the same faith. I seemed to attract some gay men and I really love women too. In fact I have a wife whom I first came out to and is very supportive of my feelings. At this time I have not had sex or kissed a man since I am married.

Oh gosh, I can relate to a good number of these as a bi as well! Most of them I can tick off too like the Sims thing, the finding other girls really attractive (looking back I had this one immense obsession/crush with one girl (who was definitely very straight) a couple years above me, and comparing that with my closest friends at the time...yeah that wasn't because "oh this is how close friends feel." Nope. That was not a "best friends 4eva" feeling! Kind of related to the physical affection thing, I really *really* REALLY loved cuddling with people of my gender--definitely way more than most straight girls/women haha, so that was definitely another sign for me.

I used to have crushes on girls and I remember once, my seat arrangement was such that my girl crush was gonna sit next to me and only for her, I used to skip the idea of missing a day at school. + I always felt disgusted as a child at the thought of dressing up in girly clothes.
