When Jambavan Kicked Ravana - Unbelievable Encounter in Ramayana

Jambavan, the King of the Bears, is a captivating historical figure in Hinduism. This legendary sloth bear was supposedly created by Lord Brahma to help Lord Ram to defeat the demon king, Ravan. But that's not all; Jambavan's epic adventures also include being present during Samudra Manthan and clapping his hands with glee while watching Lord Vishnu battle demons.
Legend has it that Jambavan was born when Lord Brahma was meditating and yawning, and a bear emerged from his yawn. Interestingly, the name Jambavan is derived from either the place he was born, Jambudwipa, or from the Sanskrit word for 'yawn,' Jrimbhan. Though his age is unknown, he is said to have witnessed many historical events, including Vamana's acquisition of the three worlds from Mahabali, which he celebrated by circling around Vishnu seven times!

The Vishalyakarni medicine that Jambhavant learnt from the Devatas is still used in certain parts of our culture. If I am not mistaken, Jambhavan met many avatars of Lord Vishnu over his long lifespan. He met Lord Vishnu Himself, then the turtle avatar (Kurma), Mohini, Vaman, Lord Ram, Lord Krishna and will be meeting Kalki in the future. He was born to assist the Lord in His different forms and so will be again with Kalki.

In Valmiki Ramayana it is mentioned that Jambwant when reminds Hanuman ji about his powers he talks about himself that he is old and might not be able to cross the ocean but when he was young he used go for a run around whole earth and would come back by sunrise to worship Lord Sun. See, majority of Sri Rama's allies - Hanuman, Jambavan, etc. - were essentially demigods certainly capable of severely wounding Raavana, leaving him a cripple (his boon from Lord Brahma only protected him from death at the hands of any supernatural being, not crippling injury). In fact, one of the things that kept Sugriva safe from Bali's wrath was the support of Sri Hanuman. This is the same Bali who quite literally kicked Raavana's arrogant ass when they first met - and even he was unwilling to openly fight Hanuman. This proves that had Hanuman wanted, he could have ended the Lanka War in a few hours. He could have blasted the fortifications into dust, summoned typhoons to obliterate the Daitya armies, and not only rescued Lady Sita from her prison, but also could have delivered the great Daitya-raj Ravana in chains and on his knees, in front of Sri Rama.
