@@ghhm2705 Thank you. Ooooooh, if I could have 10 more, I would. If I only knew how beautiful it truly is things might have been much different. I fear I waited too long. Unfortunately, I didn’t meet a person I felt comfortable starting a family with until I was 40 and her Mom and I wound up being far too different after all and ultimately made the decision to part ways after only 4 years together. But she is a wonderful woman and an even more amazing Mom and I’ve NEVER had a moments worth of regret for it. But I fear my time for another relationship and/or more children might have already passed for good. And the truth is, I’ve always felt pretty damn grateful just to have the one I have. I never even imagined myself having children in the first place. Not until I was well into my 30’s. But who knows what our Lord & Savior has in store for me? I try not to think too far ahead of myself. Lol. It was nice chatting. Cheers friend.

I sure wish we still had big families like our culture once used too. I think our world was a much better place for it. I’d love for us all to collectively wake up and smell the proverbial coffee and make a triumphant return to the days where we actually CELEBRATED things like marriage, family and parenthood once again. What a wonderful world it would be. I truly believe we have lost our way somewhat. It saddens me. Maybe I’m just too old and/or out of touch...or maybe these notions are just too antiquated and silly for our time now. I don’t pretend to have the answers. I just think we are all missing out on a lot of peace and joy that used to seem to come much easier to us all. It’s like there is a big unsatisfying hole or loss within our culture that only seems to grow larger every passing day.

A Christian colleague of mine told me a funny joke years ago and people not believing the power of prayer really comes through: A family was driving through a crowded parking lot, desperately trying to find a spot for quite awhile. The father of the family was driving and said to God,” God, we sure could use you’re help, please! If it’s your will, help us find an empty spot.” And just like that, a car backs out right in front of them and they are able to park. The father says, “Never mind, God, we found one. “ This still makes me laugh.

I LOVE hearing ya'lls "raising" stories, sooo much! They mirror my families, plus - we grew up in Camden, AR. on the Ouachita River Queen City, herself. I am the oldest of three and the only girl, my two brothers who by 13/14, were 6'2 and 6'6 but FOUGHT constantly and my "go to way of breaking them up" was to get between them, lolol this was '69 thru '76, no a/c Daddy was a truck driver, Momma worked out at "NAD" and I know Phil knows all about all the "munitions plants," out there. My Daddy fished, Trot lined, jugged and frog gigged both the Ouachita and the Little Missouri. The hunted squirrel and was a HUGE duck hunter for many years. He has been on the other side for 14 years, along with all of his brothers now. So, getting to hear your stories, and Phil's laughter, after we were all grown and our parents found out what really happened, during those years, Daddy would do just like you do, Phil...he got so tickled! Makes my heart happy! I wish my Daddy could have met you Phil, your a "Man of God that he would have listened to" Like I said, he was a truck driver, I wonder if your paths crossed before your transformation. His delivery area was Magnolia, Cotton Valley, all the little places along the state line from 1968-80. Cotton Belt and Arkansas Freightways, my Daddy LOVED to camp and fish, and he lived down at Dixie Inn, LA '72/75. Working the Shreveport, Bossier City area after the Teamsters dissolved. Yes, .....he always believed in God, Praise God - but never knew a man like you, Phil! I KNOW why men like "Nathan" drive from San Francisco to go and sit at the gate to your property....."until." I praise God for the entire Robertson family! You are a continuous blessing for me in so many ways! All the way to the kitchen!!☺ Continued "special" prayers for Mia✝️🙏❤🦆

Jase, once again I see I have lots in common with Mrs. Kay! I was the only woman in the house! But on the other hand I could imitate people like Willie! I could sound like my cousin (3 years older than me) that lived in Montgomery. She and her family would come to our house on Sundays. (She, her parents, and her little sister.) But if her parents had a day off during the week in the summer they would come. So I'm outside swinging in my swing, I stop. Then using my imitation of Dianne started talking to me, then I would talk to her. This is like 1962 the windows are up inside the house. My Mom is working inside folding clothes. She's in a cotton moo moo. (A shift dress!) Hair not fixed, no make- up and in flip flops. She hears me outside talking to Dianne. Thinks they've come and we didn't hear the car coming down the road! She's running around picking up clothes, washes off, changes clothes, puts on regular shoes, combed her hair AGAIN, puts on some fresh deodorant, applies some powder and lipstick to her face. She comes rapidly out the backdoor, smiling, and being ever the gracious hostess! To see me covered in dirt and sweat, rubbing my dogs head. With NO visitors! Her smile turned to a frown rapidly, as well. She walked over to a bush, broke off a thin branch, leaves were flying off everywhere from the switch! I was spared the spanking because I told her that I HAD ALWAYS LET HER KNOW IF SOMEONE WAS COMING DOWN THE ROAD TO SEE US! She was upset at first but that night at the supper table we were ALL laughing about it. Then came more laughter when I humbly said, "I've never seen so many little leaves flying off in all directions!" I miss my family! One day soon I'll see them again!

@@michaelwalrad1164 like i said id try to find a bible that has more than one version so in this way ya can compare the versions...or ya can maybe find the original Greek or hebrew text....alot of versions unfortunately chamged the original Greek meanings like for example in the book of acts there's a scripture where The Lord said through the writer that the apostles "prayed singing praises" meaning they was singing their prayers (Greek version) kjv painted a pic of em praying and singing praises (making em seperate) looking up the original Greek meanings would definitely help too

If you find a Bible that specifically changes the meaning of the text in translation, it is an attempt to subvert God's word. Consequently, those are the least popular versions, and for good reason. Any of the most popular translations are good. They have small variations that are inevitable in any translation, but you can get reference material for the original languages that show why and how certain translations are the way they are and use that to help you understand if something seems unclear or in conflict with another translation. You'll find they do an excellent job of keeping them true to original form.
