Why Phil Believes in Demons, What Bodybuilders Get Wrong & Where You Go When You Die | Ep 265

Phil Robertson

Phil Robertson

3 жыл бұрын

Phil sends a scuba diver to retrieve something he lost 10 years earlier. Jase wonders if some of his metal-detecting finds are criminal evidence. Phil explains what happens to the soul and spirit when you die and shares his favorite verses in the Bible. Al struggles with impatience, but he's learned to deal with it thanks to Lisa's "leaving problem." Al and Jase debate how to pronounce Aquila. Phil says there's one way bodybuilders might be on the wrong track. Al points to the only miracle in the Bible performed out of frustration. And the guys discuss man-made gods of yesterday and today.

Thank you for clarifying for me how we are going to heaven. I have a daughter that died and I am a believer, however, I could never really understand how it was all going to happen and like you always do, you kept it simple and explained it. I find it odd that I have never heard a sermon on this topic. I was raised Catholic and converted to Protestant about 20 years ago. (I am 62 years young). She was a believer, now you have given me rest that her soul and spirit are now in heaven and her body will be united when Jesus comes again. YOU DO NOT KNOW HOW THANKFUL I AM TO KNOW THIS. Jason when your wife sings I literally cry!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nancy, I am truly sorry for your loss. The specific Scripture is a blessing when we know our family and friends believe in Jesus and pass away. 6 So we are always confident, knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord. 7 For we walk by faith, not by sight. 8 We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord. 2 Corinthians 5:6-8 NKJV Grace to you...

I lost car keys while duck hunting. Standing in water up to my waist, keys fell out of my pocket. 5 months later after the water was let out, in the middle of the woods, I rented a metal detector and found my keys right where they fell out. Once I hiked to the spot, it only took 5 minutes looking before I found them.

K Hog, we used to vacation at Mexico Beach, FL & there was a long fishing pier & there were always people dropping their cell phones off the pier into like 60 ft of water. This local diver guy made a weight, the exact size & weight of a cell phone & hooked it fishing line. He charged people $100 to dive for their phones & he made money hand over fist! LOL

Kind of a long story. My daughter and husband were swimming at his grandparents lake place. Got out to rest and my daughter realized her wedding ring was gone. They looked all around the dock and surrounding areas and didn't find it. Wrote it off as gone forever. A month later grandma was at the local beauty shop and her neighbor was there also. She was talking about her husband searching around the docks with his metal detector. Seems he found an unusually styled wedding ring. My daughter's ring was custom made and matched the description of this ring. Grandma called my daughter, she and my son in law went down there, and sure enough it was her ring.

So awesome! My friend, her name was Kelli Gray, from Farmington, MO, lost her Senior ring at a river everyone around here goes to & she thought, it's just gone. That river is an hour away & hundreds of people go there to swim & float. Another friend was a diver, just messing around down at that river one day about 5 yrs later & he found a Senior ring from Farmington High School inscribed with K. Gray & he thought I KNOW that girl! You should've seen her face when he gave her back her ring! LOL

I’ve learned patience and perseverance through the harsh lessons that have followed 4 spinal fusion operations… the limited physicality, the painful rehabilitation and the blessed relaxation that comes with hydrotherapy… these lessons occurred in 1997, 1998, 2013 and (hopefully) the final time in 2018… I returned to my walk with Yeshua 6 months after my 2013 surgery… thankfully, each day since has afforded me the opportunity to give my testimony, especially with fellow spinal fusion recipients… some of whom have believed that their lives are effectively finished because of their ‘dire’ physical situations… all the glory goes to the healing love of Yeshua, Yahweh and the Holy Spirit… 🙏🏼

Mr. Phil. My Grandpa was a Pentecostal Church of GOD Preacher the majority of his adult life. I like millions of others met the Robertson family on your television program and have been a huge fan of all of you. I think often if only my Grandpa and Grandma could have seen your television show, both of them would have exclaimed AMEN brother Phil, AMEN, Thank you Jesus for telling the TV producers to bring these folks to TV land! May GOD Bless and keep the Robertson's. My first memory of him and my Grandma commenced about 1952 or '53. I was born March of 1947. My Mom did not bring us to meet them until I was 4 o 5 and to this day I still remember coming down that gravel road in the Ozark Mountains of Missouri near Willow Springs and seeing both of them standing on the road waiting for my Mom to turn her 1949 Ford into their dirt driveway and approach their 4 room farmhouse. Grandpa had 80 acres of hay fields, 2 ponds, a barn, a few out sheds (including a 2 hole outhouse), chicken coups, pig pens, 13 head of milk cows, 2 mules (Jake and Bess) and a big ole garden. My little brother and sisters were fearful to let Grandma and Grandpa hug us BUT within a few minutes we knew these two people loved us dearly. Throughout the first 16 years of my life the three of us were left with Grandma and Grandpa numerous times, a few times for around 2 years while our Mom was away doing what ever. Grandpa AND Grandma never let us down BUT we were taught 'THE WAY' as they saw fit. EVERYTHING they taught us in directly in line with the teachings you and Chase share. Bottom line to my sharing this story, I believed in my Grandma and my Grandma and I KNOW you and Chase are talking THE TRUTH. Thank you and may GOD BLESS YOU. Happy Birthday!

It surprises me that schools used to teach about the word of God. I remember when i was in middle school, about a decade ago, they would make us go to the library in the school to make us read. I found a bible that was in there and the teachers took it away from me and told me i wasnt supposed to read that and to go read something else. Its nice to see that people actually taught it.

Acts 16:16-18 speaks of the servant girl that Paul casts the demon out of... Now I am a believer not only of Scripture but of the Spiritual realm. People forget that the physical world was born out of the spiritual world. God spoke and it happened. Ephesians tells us to put on the armor of God, I think that passage is very clear. (Eph. 6:10-18) I was in jail ministry for years and I have seen things, I have heard things and I know without question, there are demons (and angels!) I agree with Phil 100%. When others say “I have never...” My response is, “I have.” IMHO, God does not show everything to everyone. When God is ready to open their eyes, then He does. Some people can’t handle even the thought of demons...I have never been afraid, for greater who is in me than he who is in the world! God always has my back. Always. One last thought...I have often wondered about people in mental institutions. Yes, some are chemically ill...but I often wonder, how many are mentally ill and how many are being tortured by demons...? I am eagerly awaiting the rapture and being in His presence!

Tents also make you think of being itinerant (I think Jase mentioned about homeless people living in tents). As the song says, this world is not our home, but we aren't homeless. We live in a temporary tent because we are itinerant and not home yet. When we go home, we drop our tent because we don't need it anymore, since God has provided us a place for us for forever. Just my thoughts on it.
