I agree, much of the gospels can be used in teaching believers how some of these passages apply to us, but the biggest problem I see is many people get grace and law mixed up by not understanding Jesus was under the law as was everyone he was dealing with. The gospel of John has many more teaching for us in the New Testament that we can see that is for everyone in the world. Younger believers need to read Acts to Revelation and learn the new covenant of grace by faith and not the laws of Moses that are not for those that live by faith, when they have learned our covenant, they can understand what he is trying to get over to the Jews a lot easier. I suppose that is where discipleship is so important for their growth and understanding of the scriptures, the Jews were saved by grace through faith as we are, and scripture taught the Jews that Abraham believed God and it was counted for him as righteousness. They were to have faith in the Christ to come, we have faith in the Christ that has come and risen for our justification, it is the same faith in Christ. A good thought provoking video.

Jesus wasn't under the law, Jesus came to fulfill the law. Matthew 7:17-18.

Luke is absolutely written for unbelievers by a Gentile who was a Dr. and to Theopolis who many believe was the attorney who would defend Paul in Rome. Dr. Luke went on to write Acts which is the book that clearly shows the message of salvation. This is why he is so meticulous in his writings. It's ludicrous to believe that Matthew Mark and Luke were only for the Jews and preserved when they didn't believe and many still don't that He is the Son of God. Evangelism for all Luke5:32 I did not come to call the [self-proclaimed] righteous [who see no need to repent], but sinners to repentance [to change their old way of thinking, to turn from sin and to seek God and His righteousness] Repentance starts with God. Everything good starts with God. Apart from God's grace, apart from the moving of His Spirit we can not repent. This is so clearly brought out in Psalms 80. In the Hebrew it says Turn us back. In other words cause us to repent. Where it is repeated 3 times v-3 Turn us back and we shall be saved,v-7, Turn us back and we shall be saved, v-19 Turn us back and we shall be saved. You understand? You can not repent unless God turns you. The turning starts with God. That's why it's such a vital moment in our lives when God begins to turn us. Because if we shrug it off and turn away, we can not repent left to ourselves. We are dependent on God to initiate repentance. Then again Lamentations 5:21 Turn thou us unto thee, O LORD, and we shall be turned; renew our days as of old. You think you can turn when you want to turn? You can not do that. The Bible says there's only one alternative to repentance, as stated in Luke 13. The first few verses in Jesus's ministry 1There were present at that season some that told him of the Galilaeans, whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices. Apparently Pilate had them executed when they were performing sacrifices. You would think that would count for their good but Jesus said 2And Jesus answering said unto them, Suppose ye that these Galilaeans were sinners above all the Galilaeans, because they suffered such things? 3I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. 4Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them, think ye that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem? 5I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. There are only two alternatives according to Jesus repent or perish. Then we get Jesus's final command after the resurrection in Luke 24:44-47 44Then He said to them, “This is what I told you while I was still with you, everything which has been written about Me in the [c]Law of Moses and the [writings of the] Prophets and the Psalms must be fulfilled.” 45Then He opened their minds to [help them] understand the Scriptures, 46and said, “And so it is written, that the Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed) would suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, 47and that repentance [necessary] for forgiveness of sins would be preached in His name TO ALL THE NATIONS, beginning from Jerusalem. To say this only applies to the Jews is saying there are two different gospels.

Do these “people” say that the Gospels have “NO APPLICATION” for the church today?? I thought “they” taught the ENTIRE BIBLE (including the Gospels) is FOR the church TODAY??

They erroneously believe that John's gospel which was written for already repented believers in the church of Ephesus to show overwhelming evidence that Jesus is the Son of God and is God and also to encourage believers that IF they go on believing they will go on to having everlasting life with God. They turn the promises of everlasting life for those who stay in the faith as the message of salvation.
