EVERY single thing about Joey, is precious and adorable! 💜 I especially loved his sweet cries of protest to being in the water. Normally, he would have had his mama to teach him to swim, but since he is an orphan, he must rely on humans to teach him how to be an otter. This is truly a case of the blind leading the blind, as humans do NOT know how to be an otter, anymore than Joey does. Just the same, his sweet cries of protest are adorable, but slightly sad, under the given circumstances, as Joey would not be crying if it were his mama teaching him how to swim and be an otter. 💜 Great job, Joey!! Keep up the good work and you will one day be a big otter!

Totally agree! I virtually adopted him and send some money each month for his care. It's about $30,000 a year to care for an otter. Can you imagine when they're infants and require 24/7 care like human babies???

@@kael1716 Before the Aquarium had to shut down for COVID reasons, I was able to go. Joey's nursery and "big boy" pool were open to view. He was very chatty with his meeps and he was absolutely adorable. I even got to see a wiggle dance. This was at the beginning of September.

What an absolute fuzz ball of complete joy and serenity . Even his repetitive meeps are heart melting. Rialto , Mara, hardy , Gibson have all been adorable , and won our hearts , but there is something overwhelming about Joey . Maybe it’s the timing of Joey during chaos and life events ?
