I enjoyed this video a lot. Very cool area and you are 10000000% right. Every time you go, it is different. Raynah calls that rock "the dragon" because, from the upper area, at the top of the cliff, that stack looks like a dragon, and the smaller hole by the arc looks like the eye of ... anyway. It is a beautiful area, but you have to calculate when the tide is low, the weather is good, the sunrise (or sunset) is happening, and so on. Multiple things have to be present, but when they are, the area is really amazing. I hope to see more videos here, but always plan the exit and stick to the plan. This area is particularly notorious for donating people to mother nature. Watch the tide. Not like you listen anyway, LOL... Great video man. Cheers.

If you stand at the arch you can see the tide encroaching a long time before it becomes sketchy. If the tide as near the arch it's time to walk out.

I am so glad I am not the only one who gets a tripod shadow. But the last time I was photographing potato harvesting equipment which although nice is not nearly as stunning as your arched sea stack.

Love the shot Gavin!! I'm wondering.....Have you tried a flash to diffuse the intensity of the shadow. Soften its outline at least so it blends in a bit. I have tried it on a couple of occasions with varied success!! Cheers!

Stunning! the way the sandstone lights up when illuminated by the orange of the rising sun - almost like it's glowing from within. It's like you say Gavin - all about the light. Love the elevator music as you traverse the beach. Also - "Scone" - so glad you didn't say "Sconn". We don't say "Sconn" in Derby either chuck. 😉

Very nice Gavin. Amanda made the right call waiting to see if you slipped on your derriere. It was so worth the risk as the photos were spectacular. I have to say the ending with Chris was a surprise. I watched his first vlog, which was just great. Had no idea this had happened prior to it. I know you don't want to replace Uncle Grumpy, but Chris is right there, and is the ideal candidate. He is a natural. Just think of all those Twirls!

An enjoyable video as always. This is a beautiful spot. Photographed the same location 2 years ago. Even though I knew the tide was coming in I drove the 45 mins to location as it was my last full day in the province for the trip. I wasn’t able to get the arc, but did get a few cool shots of the ripples in the sand and cliffs around the area. Hope to get there again this summer when I am back.

Great location --- yep a mistake there; all that cloning to get rid of the tripod legs --- but on the positive, less work involved than cloning out your girth, just saying ;)

2nd closer image was my fave due to it being of a more natural colour leading the eye left to a snowy cliff edge telling a better story. The 1st image was oversaturated in the centre and the small granite rock just looks out of place like it came from a different area which persisted in distracting me away from the central hot coal.
