2009 was a crash back to reality for Lewis Hamilton. The then reigning world champion found himself with a difficult car. But after a stunning drive from 18th to 3rd at the opening round in Australia, there looked to be light at the end of the tunnel. That was until we found out hamilton had lied to us all... Here is that story...

The performance was shifting from circuit to circuit, the only things certain were Brawn fastest at the start of the season and Red Bull fast at the end of it. Toyota, for example was the slowest car in Monaco, just 5 races after Melbourne

Besides getting the title, I have many fond memories of Lewis' time at McLaren. I'm pretty sure the "Bono my tyres are gone" has it's roots somewhere in a chinese gravel trap. Also LH didn't have the get out of jail free cards back then, meaning he got penalized unlike some titles later, when he could divebomb Albon and call it "hard but fair racing".

I scrolled looking for the Team LH Meltdown. All I found was a Anti Team LH Meltdown. Mucho sad. This sort of stuff was actually fairly common back in the day and is honestly probably still fairly common today. The amount of fucking scheming and nonsense that was happening behind the scenes was hillarious. You had Crashgate later that year. Spygate was a couple of years before hand (and its often forgetten due the Mclaren being the ones slapped for it that other teams had the Ferrari data and at least Renault had all the Mclaren data too). Mclaren was getting punished heavy for everything they did because Max hated Ron and so was happy to jump on anything he could to give him a slap. Its also hard to imagine now, but back then Lewis really had little power. Mclaren was very much a dictatorship run by Ron. You did what the team said, when the team said. Lewis might have been a world champion, but he was entirely beholden to Mclaren for his F1 career. They put did all his junior stuff, they got him into F1 and he didn't really have any proper contacts throughout the grid. He was just going to go along with the team because you do not challange Ron. Alonso did that and he ended up back at Renault because of it. Lewis didn't have a fall back plan like Briatore at that point, because his Briatore WAS Ron.

I will say this in Hamilton’s defense. As much as we, the fans, see F1 drivers as in control of their destiny, at the end of the day they work for the teams and their paychecks and livelihoods depend on them. What Hamilton did was wrong, and it is hard to feel sorry for a millionaire hurting another millionaire for his own gain. But we are doing a disservice to working people everywhere if we don’t acknowledge the pressure people can be put under by their companies and bosses to lie. We can criticize Lewis for this and have a bit of fun, but don’t let your personal grudges against the one man let you ignore the bigger problem. All the drivers can and do lie for their teams. They shouldn’t but they also shouldn’t have to.

2010-Hamilton defeated him because he knew the car better than Jenson,scoring 26 more points. 2011-Butron defeated Hamilton in wdc standings,43 points difference, while Hamilton was showing the worst of his in terms of driving,screwing only Felipe Massa 5 times, Jenson Button challanged the Red Bull of Vettel in championship fights. 2012-Hamilton won by marginal points in terms of wdc(2 points more) and some internal politics favoring Hamilton in order to keep him at McLaren for 2013 on. The problem I noticed about f1 is that there are many british journalists that are twisting reality and ignore relevant details in significant moments from f1 in order to make british drivers look like the best of the best and all the others to be a bounch of losers.There s no better examples than Hill VS Schumacher(talking all day long about Schumacher s dirty move in Adelaide 1994 but no footages shown about dirty seasons of Hill especially 1995 or 1995 against Michael) or Massa VS Hamilton,Hamilton vs Vettel/Rosberg/Verstappen… even now that channel uploads videos about Hamilton instead of anything else they can make.

That Vattel x Kubica crash was a heartbreak. BMW that year was incredibly slow but thanks to good strategy calls Kubica could have won that race. But Vettel had to do sth that in Poland we call "Vettelszczyzna" - a stupid mistake from a brilliant driver that he was (like that mistake in Canada that let Button win the race, that Webber x Vettel crash at Turkey, Vettel x Leclerc at Brazil).
