What I love is the fact Meg treats her like an adult rather than shooing her away she explains what she is doing and why. not only is buggy learning from her mama.. us mamas out here are also learning from their interactions. ❤

I found it a notable worry... that Meyer lemon tree has thorns. Yikes! Is that true for all lemon trees? I'm like don't drive equipment my the lemon tree. Oh my gosh. Lol. 'Tractor tire cost" oh my gosh
@nagasvoice8895Ай бұрын
@@amymartin7508 Most citrus trees have juvenile thorns, but grow out of it to varying degrees. You also want to rogue out thorny, bitter root sprouts coming up from below the trunk graft on commercially sold nursery trees, those can outgrow the fruitful top. I'm interested to try Meg's lemony sourdough cake!

While watching this video this morning had I little laugh to myself. You were speaking about bringing the sourdough to people and that you were going to make more " in case the need arises." That's when I got amused because that phrase was appropriate if spelled " if the knead arises", also! Some of us are just easily entertained, I guess but I wanted to tell you that it made me smile. Hugs to all of you from me and my critters in Southeast, Texas.

A Meyer lemon is a cross between a lemon and mandarin/pomelo orange. To me they have a very slight and appealing note of turpentine. They are more mellow tasting than regular lemons. You can grow the trees in pots and move them indoors in the winter.

You could try flavoring the icing sugar with some lemon zest. My grandmother used to do that with granulated sugar, it might work with powdered. That way it doesn't "boil" off during baking, but lingers bound to the sugar.
