Arthur, I'm very proud of you. You have come a very long ways. I'm SO happy that you and Bri didn't just give up and are giving your kids the best life. I'm proud of both of you. Congratulations on your sobriety. My dad was an alcoholic, I'm just so happy to hear that you are present for your babies, it means the world, as you know, also for Bri. What a huge blessing for your family, that you have goals to continue to rebuild your home and clean up the farm. It's wonderful that you have the other house to live in, in the meantime. It seems like this should relieve some of the pressure and stress you had before. Remember it's in God's plan, and in his timing. God Bless this precious family❤

❤❤❤❤❤ Great video--Bri looking beautiful! Enjoyed the tracking with the older boys, and seeing the farm again . . . Love the relaxed, little by little approach . . . Also have appreciated the documenting of some of the hard work needed (and being done) after the devastating flood, including the magnificent working horse, tricky road repairing, the shed building work for urgently needed temporary homes etc . . . Thank you for all of it! ❤

God gives us the time and energy in each day to do what He has for us to do. As a person who used to believe I had to start and finish a project in one go, He had to smack me upside the head with our home burning to get my attention and help me recognize that I need only get up and do what He has for me in that day and thats enough. Usually not as fast as I'd like but I'm learning to be ok with that and NOT be the crazy person who is pushing myself trying to accomplish way more than I need to in a day. Blessings on you all and keep reminding yourself of the wonderful example you're setting for your kids. Your title says it all....At the end the day its wonderful to say "This feels just right"

Congratulations Art! You are doing an amazing job. One day at a time. My husband was an alcoholic for over 20 years. Holding our family together was really rough, but I knew God had plans for him and did He ever! He has been sober now for over 34 years, teaches our adult Sunday School class, is active in our church, became the Daddy I knew he could be all along, is an AMAZING Grandpa to 16 of the best kiddos and is the joy of my life! God is the one that touched him and God was also the one that held me together when I thought everything was going to fall apart. We have a wonderful little homestead and work it together. My husband was an EMS helicopter pilot after becoming sober (he was in the military and flew helicopters. That's where he got his experience) He is not retired and we are so very happy. Take it one day at a time brother. You are doing a great job. You have an amazing family and God is truly walking with you as well. I wanted to say, don't beat yourselves up so much about the farm. You will get it into shape. My goodness, how many weeks have you both been helping those around you in need that have been devastated by the hurricane??!! We continue to pray for all those that have lost virtually everything. We pray for you and your family as well.

Art and Bri. I love you guys and I feel the stress and pain you have been through over the past several years. BUT... I think its time to change the narrative. If the kids hear you say it over and over that your breakdown was related to the stress of the twins there could be some resentment or feelings of blame and guilt. You dont want those precious babies to carry the burden of the blame for the marriage and family going through the breakup and struggles. It may be the truth of your version. It may have been the tipping point. Now it is time to quit repeating the story and start going forward. A series of events happened that was very stressful, and your family is in recovery. Brighter days are surrounding you now and abright future lays ahead. With love and best wishes. ❤

Y'all have come a long way. God gives us tribulations to grow our faith. I absolutely LOVE hunting season. I'm a mom of 4, homesteading, homeschooling, small farm, y'all know how much work goes into being a homemaker/mom/teacher. I spend hours in the woods this time of year and I NEED this time to myself. Venison is our main source of meat, we make many different things from it. Burger, bologna, sausage, hotdogs, jerky, meat sticks and a few other things. Hunting season is enjoyable and we can provide meat for our family for the year.

small idea and i hope it helps maybe rent or ask owners for donated time and effort to mill some of those trees into boards to make more sheds at the least some of the people can store belongings in them if they cant outright live in them temporarily i assume winter coming is gonna be even more of a hardship for these alrdy stressed out people. i have seen that portable at your site millling is possible so 2 birds by using up some of those downed trees into lumber or even firewood to stockpile folks up.
