At 7:30, the breaking of the ice sculpture was a set up, it was actually supposed to go a little longer but the ice artist told him right before they started filming that he only spent about 5 minutes on it and it was so bad that if it did not get broken very quickly everyone would be able to see it was no work of art. The station got so many calls hating on the reporter that they let everyone know it was a prank just minutes after it had happened. They had originally intended to let the story run for a full day, announcing the prank on the next days broadcast
