Great pitchers don't need to hit. Also, I don't understand this story line. This is supposed to be set in the early 90's. What town in Texas DIDN'T have a seriously competitive girl's fast pitch softball team? I'm from KY and grew up in the 80's and even the smallest of schools and towns fielded some great softball teams. My sister could fire a 58 mph underhand pitch all day long.

For what I remember when she asked George if she could be in baseball he said something along the lines of why don’t you just wait a couple years to join softball. Missy then insisted on wanting to join the baseball team. So I don’t think it’s because they don’t have one, I just think the league starts when she’s a bit older.

Missy is my favorite.... The one thing I can't get past is Missy's gorgeous blue eyes. When she is an adult in TBBT, played by Courtney Heggeler, her eyes are dark brown ( also gorgeous)... I still love both of them. I wish Courtney had played a bigger role in TBBT.

This happens a lot in media franchises. Sometimes, a female character will have brown hair, but then when she’s portrayed by a different actor as an adult, all of a sudden, she’s blonde! Same with male characters. Kind of like how Jason Voorhees’ eyes alternated between blue and brown from actor to actor.
