I remember my mom making me one from a piece of heavy cardboard a stick of wood and rubberbands when I was little. The other neighborhood kids had their moms make them one but mine was way cooler. We formed a band and were about to go on tour until we had to come in and wash up for supper. Not sure what we did the next day. True story...

My Mom once brought me a base neck that she found in the trash. Then got mad that I couldn't use it on my 6 string Fender Squire. Gotta love her though. Good Mom with good intentions, but the road to hell is paved with good intentions. I wasn't trying to be ungrateful, but the part just didn't fit my guitar. I explained to her that it's kind of like trying to put Cadillac parts in a Chevrolet, it just doesn't work that way. I hope she understood. {Miss you Mom - RIP}

Today, I realized, when I'm stressed out over work... I can count on Elise to remind me, my day's not so bad! True mom story though: I had an Ambassador Trumpet. When I was 17, I joined the Navy. When I came back from Boot Camp, I was looking for my trumpet and couldn't find it anywhere. I finally ask my mom, she replied, "Oh, that was yours? I was having a garage sale and ask your brother if he wanted it, and he said no. I sold it for $5.00! I didn't know it was yours!" Sigh!!!
