Imagine being on set of a Stanley Kubrick film. You have already shot that take 30 times, because the master wasn't satisfied and then you slip and fall on your ass and Kubrick says "perfect! that´s a wrap!". LOL

I find the fight vlub one hard to believe, i mean, there were many cameras pointing to exactly where they were, it cant be that simple
@zoyadulzura749019 күн бұрын
Agreed. That's not the only iffy one, either.
@cgi200210 күн бұрын
There were other scenes filmed in that location as part of the film, likely on the same day/week. So while those 2 were just pratting around on set, having them turn the camera's on isn't much of a stretch. Still iffy, but it would logically explain why there were camera's pointing there. As for why they'd pick that spot to play, its the only decently clear spot around the house when you look at it.

The one for Alien Resurrection they were expecting to do 3-9 takes and miss every time, they had multiple cameras on it then would splice in the ball going in on it's own. Her actually doing it on the first take was the surprise that took Ron P. out of Character.
@jason208917 күн бұрын
Yeah exactly. People thinking Scorsese didn't know what he was doing. There's dozens of these throughout the movie. Detectives don't normally fumble with holsters. Inmates aren't allowed matches either (notice who lights his cigarettes).

The running scene in 1917. The first soldier he ran into never got back up 😂. Either he got knocked out for real or just decided to stay down and not bother to get back up.

He was probably told to fall down at a certain point, but the guy ran into him, so he figured that was his time to stay down. Rather than try and stand up and have someone else run into him. He wasn't paid enough to risk injury.

Or neither; the Fight Club one includes a crane shot, which means it was blocked. These are just random things.

Improv technically is bloopers. If it's not planned, it's a blooper.
@bigozzie23425 күн бұрын
@-TheShaun- That's not true. A blooper refers to a mistake that was left in. An actor improvising something on purpose doesn't qualify as a blooper because it was intentional. For example, Robin Williams falling in The Birdcage is a blooper because it wasn't intended. The fact that he played it off well with improv is what made them leave it in. Conversely, Rick Moranis playing with dolls in Spaceballs isn't a blooper, because everything he did was intentional. He didn't accidentally pick up the dolls and start acting out a scene somehow.

As for "lip licking" of Joker, that is called "tardive dyskinesia" and happens to people who have been on antipsychotics for a long time and suddenly stopped taking them. So, even if accidental, worked great for the character.
@avastinnett944723 күн бұрын
In the documentary "I Am Heath Ledger," we learn that the silicone pieces of his/Joker's lips would come loose sometimes, and because of this, the actor started licking his lips to make sure they stayed in place. Ledger just ended up leaning into that and incorporated the licking as a part of his character's creepy mannerisms.

Blooper and intentionally trying something off the wall are very different but great vid as always :)

Joker licking his lips is actually a tick that Heath Ledger had irl, which he emphasized for the character. You can see Heath lick the corners of his mouth frequently in old interviews.

Title: "When Movie Bloopers Were Too Good to Left Out!" Last line about the Alien Resurrection "blooper" of Weaver making that shot: "Ron Perlman nearly screwed up the shot by celebrating out of character. That's why the shot cuts as soon as the ball goes through." I don't think you know that "too good to be left out" and "that's why the shot cuts" are diametrically opposing statements. Also, an actor using cue cards is not a blooper, nor is a director intentionally tricking an actor to get a more believable reaction, like your Alan Rickman in Die Hard example. I don't think you even know what that word means either.

How can a CGI character be improv? It's added well after live action finishes. There's no way that Rogue One scene wasn't planned and scripted.
@lichisor13 күн бұрын
Most CGI Characters are motion captured. Most of the times, there's an actor who's playing the part right there with the rest of the actors, it's better because actors play off of each other's performance. Then they get scrubbed and replaced with the 3D Model

I never buy the b.s about "they didn't know the camera was left on" First off, there are at least two camera angles, so what two cameras were just left running, and somehow both actors are squarely in frame in both of them? I'm sure the actors didn't know that part made into the movie because there was more of a scene that ended getting scrapped halfway through filming or something like that, but every time someone tries pulling this same nonsense, the scenes never look like someone just forgot to turn the cameras off.
