My grandfather was Muslim (sadly he died 10 yesrs ago). He married my grandmother who is white and Catholic. The prejudice and racism they encountered came not from white people but predominantly from Muslims, especially from my grandfather's family. The Muslim part of the family threatened and demanded that my grandmother convert to Islam and my gran declined and received subtle threats to her life from my grandfather's family. The Islamic faith today hasn't changed and isn't tolerant. Can you imagine a Christian forcing their Muslim husband, wife or partner to change religion?

There is a MAJOR DIFFERENCE between a FORCED marriage and an ARRANGED marriage! Many cultures, not religion, condone FORCED marriage. The Quran clearly states that people are free to choose their own spouses and if it's arranged by the parents, the daughters and sons must agree of their own free will.

On what exactly do you base your beliefs? What data are you using to form your belief system? I can tell it's not reality or historical evidence. It had to have been something that you heard in an indoctrination camp (be that television or public schools). Jesus Christ is the only thing that will ever truly unite us. Of all the thousands of years of mankind's existence, desegregation is a relatively new thing. It was not done naturally, but has been being forced by Western governments on Western civilizations for about the last 60 years. It was tried in Rome and it destroyed Rome where nothing else could. It's being tried in the United States and it is destroying the United States where nothing else could. Desegregation is a wrecking ball to civilizations and we know this, but they have emotionally blackmailed the kind hearts of Christians to effect it. You can't name one civilization that wasn't totally annihilated by desegregation/multiculturalism. Go watch a bunch of movies from the 40's and 50's, and then look at society today. Non-Christians did this to the only society on earth that any human would want to live in. Now our society is starting to look more and more like the barbarian heathen lands. Paradise on earth is gone, it's not found anywhere else. It was only ever here for the last 2,000 years and was ushered in by Jesus Christ, of that you may be certain.

Stop the manipulation. Islam is not distorted like Judaism or Christianity, which has been distorted into the paganism of the Trinity. You will not be able to distort Islam if you love a Muslim woman. You have to understand that she will be a good wife because she believes in God, the Last Day, and the Resurrection if you want. A Muslim wife believes in God. You must be a good Muslim for fear of the punishment of the afterlife. If you do not want to, then this is your order. Do not approach a cake that no Muslim woman has tasted. Virgins are not love dolls.

Many marriages fail even if they're of the same religion. Marriage works when there's commitment, love and respect. What has religion got to do with 2 people who is willing to commit to each other, love for what and who they are. What bonds this commitment and love is the "respect" they have for one another.
@QabilAGhor
@QabilAGhor 10 ай бұрын
@@NinaNina-tm2mo You are absolutely correct that having a common faith is not a guarantor of a successful marriage. I think you have to look at this issue by answering two questions: 1). What factors keep the marriage strong? 2). What factors contribute to the failure of a marriage? You mentioned "commitment, love and respect." I agree, but I would also add mental compatibility, financial stability/dependency, friendship, sexual satisfaction, family values and religion. There are probably more things such as wit and a sense of humor, but let's just focus on these obvious ones. Marriages generally fail when one partner is cheating, lack of things I identified above, or there are conflicts in the family because of other people such as children or parents. Religion is not a panacea, but it does create a strong bond. It can prevent people from cheating. At least in Islam, it can compel a husband to provide for his wife and children. It can engender respect and caring relationship with parents. And it can allow a family to live by the same set of family values; vices such as drug-use or alcoholism is less likely to be an issue. As people get older, they start reverting back to the old family values they grew up with. They want to be surrounded by the same culture and people they think they actually belong to. I have seen that people can compromise on culture but ultimately their "inner faith" wins over and starts rebelling against anything and everything that is opposed to it.

We say that the "mazal"of a husband hang on how he treats his wife. Jewish women can have her peace in her period days..and after those days, if she goes to the ritual bath, the mikve, is considered pure like a virgin..jews and muslims have a lot in comon. @@gayatrinambiar-greenwood5308 To break it down a little: These women claim to be a certain religion: Exactly this Religion says and these are like basic core teachings :That God will Indeed Judge (in the Afterlife as kind of trial on Jugement Day) And He (God/Allah) indeed actually DOES JUDGE this behaviour ( at this moment of time) as huge sins and offences (HE did also in the past) Because it has allways been and WILL allways be wrong; A filthy act (as far as sex outside of marriage is concerned and marriage in this context means an islamically valid marriage contract( for Muslims that is, and even other Religions have certain rulings aswell but they dont preach about or live it out that much these days .it seams(at least in the west); So at the Moment at Every Moment God is Judging you, your decisions your actions your way, etc. Anybody who has basic knowledge knows: Its just a reminder to the Muslims especially; As they claim to be adherents of this faith. And yes actually it is also part of teachings to call to God ; IE to be faithful, to fulfill your obligations, part of this is not to go the way these women went. Even though all ended well so far! This is by no means the end. God does also punish you sometimes in this life, and everything in this Life is ultimatley a test ;To see who may does the best deeds, who may follow the commands of the Lord; Or who follows his whims and desires and culture, even if its against obeying and surrendering yourself to God! IE: God will never test a person beyond what they are capable of bearing: Which means in this case and obviously if you take a step and analyse this situation logically: Lets say they were treated unfairly and the situations they were put in werent allways the easiest ,best, or fairest or whatever. I will admit that. Still they would have had and did indeed have so many routes they could have chosen in which they could have rightfully resisted the parents forcing them to marry a person they particularly did not want to marry. Actually loving someone is a choice; Let me explain; You might have a crush on someone this does happen quite naturally to many people , i dont doubt that at all. But what you DO choose is to go after it: Therefore engage with that person because you let your feelings get the best of you even though you know you shouldnt; Then getting into an actual relationship (it takes 2 to tangle) which means their active participation of the person who has the crush.! Then by doing that its not only a crush anymore , but you fall even more (deeply) into love and start shitting on everything just to live it! And that is the wrong thing.I know myself and other people who had a crush on someone; But they knew or realised that this person ( for WHATEVER reason), is not right for them. And they turned it off; Yes it will take some time yes it will hurt , yes you will need some occupation to beat some time so you can eave it far behind you. But you will get over it; Escpecially if you dont start getting deeper into it ,then its much easier! So at the end of the day ; I dont even really judge them for falling in love; I judge them for letting it even get this far and not taking the way out. It was Love it just happend! What kind of a sorry excuse is that? Would you say that to any other person: I was so furious and angry; So i smashed the flat; Or looked for someone who was also bit dodgy to start a fight and smash his face. IT JUST HAPPENED. I FELT I NEEDED this particular item even thou I cant afford, so I just took a credit which will cost me my future: IT JUST HAPPENED. Oh I have the urgent need to go on an adventure; I will just book a flight to whereever and live there for a year maybe, I JUST wanted to get out and see something new; Afterwards come back, I'm in absolute debt, maybe may bankaccounts are frozen or deleted, my job is gone (got fired for no appearing at my work place) , flat mobiliar was removed to the wasteside, flat rented to another person: NOW I'M HOMELESS with not even a penny to my name: UPPPS IT JUST HAPPENED: Oh yeah I started trying drugs, even thou everyone from parents , teachers etc. warned me of this because it can be dangerous and addictive: YEAH i will just try it out a bit , nothing happend,. Do it again. Now every few weeks just for fun with my friends. OH something shitty happend; I take this drug now for relief and feel actually better: UPPPPS now I'm HOOKED on drugs! I'M a junkie now; All that matters is to get high or have enough of my own supply: Its getting expensive now , my health is also declining; Shit I loose my job because of poor performance or being unreliable not taking care of stuff; OH OH now I'm borrowing money everywhere , OH now my family found out ,what this money is actually spend for and they feel betrayed : NOW nobody wants anything to do with because I lied on them , cheated and swindled them out of their hard earned money(and their trust by the way). While all I do is getting high and being a bump; they dont wanna support the habit; NOW I I HAVE LOST MY FAMILY SUPPORT : Upps it just happened............ You get what I'm saying? And Yes; I dont like this behaviour: SO i say it. You dont like me beeing judgy (on issues like inter-religious marriage, because you think its okay). Thats why you are telling me HEY man dont jugde. Because you dont like this behaviour. So at the end of the day; You are also judging (me and like minded people). Because you dont like what I do . On other issues you would maybe agree with me. So what it is really the difference between me and you? Well we have different things that we find blameworthy or wrong so we judge differently, but we still all do judge. Thats it, so basically you and me are not different; Because its just human nature. But human nature alone doenst justify every behaviour, which you or some else could actually find resonable and or justifiable. Good luck mate. Have a great day btw.

But a vast majority of muslims arent like that they do not treat their daugher like that, the reason the interfaith marrige can be problematic is because that the faith itself might disapear a couple of generations down the line. Yes these girls are now married to converts but what will their approach be to their daughters marrying atheist? Like their children will be having mothers who are first generation muslim british, so I dont think a few generations down the line, islam will not remain in the linage. I blieve also this is a big reason for why interfaith marriges can be problematic, not just because of the present couple but also their children and grandchildren that might not have the faith instilled in them anymore.

@bunnypie4377 I think this concern is an oversimplification because sometimes the kids learn more from their mom. If they have a Christian ✝️ dad and muslim ☪️ mom, they could still prefer Islam ☪️. Of course, this isn't always the case, but you get my point. Also, they would have to live in very isolated areas for the faith to completely disappear. A Christian dad and muslim mom could have atheist kids, but that doesn't mean that's how it will be forever because their grand kids could convert to Islam at some point once they get re-introduced to it. You get my point? Islam has been around for eons. I don't think it will ever disappear regardless of what the parents believe

We have thrived. While many same religious couples have divorced around us we stood strong. We communicate a lot, spend lots of time together as a family but also as a couple. Mutual respect is mandatory just like in any relationship. Early on in our marriage we set boundaries for our families and their opinions. If you come into my home and talk badly about any religion or race, you are out. I don’t care if you are family or not. It’s hard enough as it is to make a marriage work different cultures and religions bring more challenges. However if you love each other and are committed to raise a family , to be each others best friend nothing can stop you.

I could see the struggles that these strong people went through just to love someone out of their community. At the end, they won and are living their lives for themselves and not to live for others. This world needs more people like these to change and make it better. Through their suffering and standing strong they changed their path and no one could stop them. There's one God for this world! Under Islam, a woman has equal rights to earn, own, spend and otherwise dispose of her property as she wishes, without interference by any male relative, be he a father, husband or guardian. As long as she is an adult and of sound mind, she has the right to do what she likes with her money and property. To add, irrespective how rich the wife is, the duty to give lodging, boarding, clothing and look after the financial aspects of the wife and children remains that of the husband. When a muslim woman marries outside of Islam she looses those rights plus any more. Most of the rights of woman in Islam can be found in The Noble Quran, Surah Nisa, an entire chapter dedicated to women. Islam is simple and the best way for all of mankind, a form of protection for those who accept it. Peace and blessings be upon Prophet Mohamed The Final Messenger and Prophet of Allah. World peace x

They don't tell their kids who and how their creator is, how benevolent and merciful Allah is, how kind He is to His creation, how pure He is, how He is the ultimate guardian and protector of His creation. They just ask them to pray which is important but in a more understanding and meaningful way. Only if parents could make their kids understand that it is only Allah who's there for his creation even when there's nobody else, I'm sure no soul would prioritise any creation's love over his creator's love. Sure, there are good and bad people around the world from different religions. But, is it really the media that portrays Islam in a bad way, or could it be that Islam teaches that Disbelievers from the 'People Of The Book', (Jews and Christians) as well as Polytheists are the 'Worst Of Beings/Creatures' for rejecting Muhammad as a ''prophet'' and are going to Hell-Fire for that? See Quran 98:6 and the Tafsir for that verse. When Islam speaks about Disbelievers/Non-Muslims in such a derogatory/offensive manner, then don't be surprised that Disbelievers/Non-Muslims don't feel all lovey-dovey towards Islam. Respect is a 2 way street. Show respect and you're likely to be respected. Show disrespect and you're likely to be disrespected, it's very simple. The Quran and Sunnah shows a lack of respect for Non-Muslims, so don't complain about the lack of respect and then blame it on the media.

Weak people, blinded, failing to acknowledge their dogma is racist will pay the ultimate price at the end (know many of those, who went through arranged marriage and took their own life, mostly going un-reported). How does it feel to be a sheep and think for one sec that God is racist allowing his followers to merry into religion and not pure blinded love? Just because it something was done for year on year does not make it correct let alone holly. It's up to smart people (sadly not many found here) to embrace god's humanity and creation regardless of color, culture, fear of the different, faith or creed. Relationship with God isn’t a constant bantering of LAWS. There is only one God…. Who loves us all…. We put boundaries upon ourselves…because of the guilt we feel. Relationship between 2 should be just that… between 2. I hear that these parents have conditional love…. God does not.. Religions divide people. If these parents want there cultures to exist in the family they should have remained in their own country… not in a Country that has freedom of choice, speech, and relationships… My hearts aches most for the lovely gal from Morocco.. In Islam once you hit puberty, you can make your own decisions in life. Parents are suppose to teach their kids about their faith when they’re younger, once they become an adult they can choose their own life partners,preferably Muslim however, if they choose otherwise, parents are there to give their opinions and the rest is between them and God. No one is allowed to force anyone to get married to someone they don’t want to. arrange marriages are based on culture, not religion!

Usually it means someone who follows islam, but in other cases it's someone with muslim families or background, regardless of believing or not. People confuse "muslim" with "arab" a lot. "muslim" is about what's in the mind, and can change; "arab"/"iranian"/"pakistani" is ethnicity, can't be changed. Mohamaddan would be the word describing followers of muhammad.
