That's why, if you have personal issues, it's important to address them as soon as possible at home, because at work, people expect you to perform at your best. Likewise, when you are at your best and see work as a place to focus on your tasks rather than building friendships, you naturally expect others to perform at their best as well. By 'issues,' I mean challenges such as poor communication skills, lack of emotional stability, weak assertiveness, and similar areas for improvement.

For that matter, be specific or don’t speak at all in ANY situation. I hate when people with nothing better to do than listen to themselves talk impose themselves on me. Lots of time thieves out there.

That sounds very Narcissistic. "Be specific or don't speak at all in ANY situation." I'm glad I'm not your girlfriend. People are human beings with wonderful ideas, and personalities. They don't have a "secret agenda" to waste other people's time. Work is one thing, but you extended it to all conversations, all the time. People who think like that should date AI. Then they will get precise, pinpointed conversation all the time. And nobody's precious time will be wasted with human emotion and creative conversation. I'm disappointed that Dan totally agrees with you . 😐

Yes.. I'm learning that even if its awkward you should be specific. For example. when you tell someone to stop talking to you inappropriately. That is too vague.. Instead you should say.. When you called me a useless idiot yesterday I found that inappropriate.

@MsPriyaLal, first of all--thank you for your membership! It is greatly appreciated. And if I can help a little--"Yesterday you made a personal comment; you called me a useless idiot. Name-calling is demeaning to me and to you and I ask that you never do that again."
