Perhaps one of the orcas in that pod were injured by a boat or even killed and the orcas see some boats as threats.

So using that logic: are those humans whose sailboats were sunk or damaged by Orca, entitled to injure or destroy any Killer Whales they encounter? An eye for an eye right!

Not a theory its the truth. They know who to attack . And they dont just randomly flip boats ! Only threats and murderers !

Then they aren't very smart. If they continue to attack boats, and even start killing people, then human beings will retaliate. If so I don't favor the Orca's chances.

Orcas are giant, frivolous handless people who go through social trends. This could be a flair for activism spreading throughout their communities or it could just be a running gag, it is very hard to tell with these creatures.

This must be a playful behavior. If they would want to sink a boat on purpose and because of aggression it would take them seconds to do that. Thats how powerful they are. They can even kill blue wales. Team Orca 🖤🤍

We all have a lil guilt. No one is perfect. I don't care who you are. It's what we do with that guilt that matters. Being aware such as yourself is a good first step. Unfortunately, there's people out there like the one above who just suppress it so that they can go through life thinking they do no wrong and always looking for things to validate their illusion that their sh*t don't stink

Small sailboats are too shitty and dangerous? Or is it those are the only vessels they can hope to successfully attack, because any other ship type will laugh off anything the Orcas could do to them.

They just what’s to play. They have no hands and they are intelligent. The „touch“ the boat with the teeth to get informations about materials…. They don’t do it on purpose

@@natedicksonmedia Really nothing special. 6.40 meter, Swedish made, 225 american hp. Most important is my g u n s that I always have in the boat. "Most importantly it's a prey that is not going to harm the offspring." Really? Are you sure about that? All it will take to put an end to this behavior, is one sailboat owner with a rifle who is not willing to have his boat sunk. I am amazed at the restraint of my own species in this matter.
@XiadaniLicarayen
@XiadaniLicarayen 10 ай бұрын
the restraint is justified though, we've killed so many cetaceans and been very harmful. Also there are only 30-40 orcas with this behavior maybe it's better to just find some way to protect the rudder

I personally see this as a business opportunity, and what's needed is a bigger and stronger ship. Usually whale/dolphin sightseeing service is a hit or miss if the animals don't show up but this Orca phenomenon will make it a guaranteed opportunity for paid customers to see Orca up close and personal.
