Wah if it wasn't for God working in me without me even knowing but church is at times not a safe place if I don't know God at a personal level. I hate seeing men of God preaching gospel but live another kind of life. Again u can't access man of God when u have an issue but they are accessible to receive monetary it hurts when u are in need I remember u can serve in church but because of a disability somewhere the pastors are the ones to put u down and also when in wedding u need to pay for the venue pay for the worship team pay for sound then again u find somebody who is rich will even be given those opportunities for free it hurts

This guy doesn't know his Bible well, church is not a hospital u need to associate with people to be associated with. Sad u went to wrong places as a church but there are very good church. Another thing u are not forced to give u give willingly and again the church u visited are small churches are building themselves ua reason as so childish. Yes UA mum being in church for 60yrs they can never do that again may be your brother was grown up so he need to have his own church again the church u need to be present and avail even if u don't have money but u can't be unavailable on church activities not give money and when u need assistance u run to church let be fair u can't be going out somewhere else and expect any church to attend to u. I remember when I was doing my wedding I visited my church which I grew in my brother in law was a pastor there but still I was denied the venue since am no longer a member, I went to other churches and I was told am not a member and I understand but I didn't leave church but what I wouldn't give what I don't have but I will come and listen to preaching. Anyway may God heal income I show where there is a good church

What I get annoyed about church is when they ask money for projects when u have already given tithe I think the same way am paid as salary I have to plan for it same as the church should manage tithe It's true there is rape and sleeping around with pastors it's true just like other places but only God can help us have discernment and know our positions in Christ for real church of today it's hell some are taking their kids to best schools even out of Kenya but wewe hata ya kanjo unastruggle Another thing is church is not scam the pastor who decide to do things out of God's way are the scammers u find a pastor but hates a daughter in law and stand in the pulpit to speak about love this one makes me feel no need of church to some extent I agree with u with most things but u not going to church I disagree just look well and u will find somewhere

I love it in Church... It's here that l have been taught kindness and being selfless... Good morals are taught in Church. I give because l appreciate the role thay the church plays in our society. Hope is restored here, fellowship is done here.... Members receive support here. You get to have another family that is not Blood. I would suggest that we sieve what we take in, wisdom is key... Mtu ni Mtu even those we call Men of God... They have their weaknesses and some are not called to serve. Be wise, Lets work on own personal salvation life though we can't do away with Fellowship. Wacha Sasa envelope after grieving my late daughter immediately after the burial no counseling,if you are a widow or a widower they separate themselves from you,you become like curse just coz death visited your home,no one wants to associate with you anymore,I never saw my pastor coming to pray for us and mind you am a leader and he expects you to perform in his ministry it's been one year now and even a prayer no one has ever offered to me but I thank God I know God my personal way.😢

I'll ,recommend before joining any church, pray for God to lead you to a teaching word church, 2nd study what the church is all about,rules,their beliefs,especially when it comes to matters finances, contributions, & death, 3rd,as you go to church don't expect a smooth ride,some are born again,some hide in church, some are betrayer etc... I relate to this. My father's church demanded 20k to Bury him. They really pressured us to pay. When I asked their contribution to the burial of their congregants, they said they will give us the offering. We were just honoring them because we have pastors in the family. And we refused the offering because it's for priests. They were so ashamed but too greedy to say No. If these are the shepherds, God have mercy

Me, there's no way I will leave church. If they hurt me or not I remain in church. That is where my healing is. The church, with all it's imperfections, is the body of Christ. I am a part of that body and neither am I perfect. If one congregation doesn't do it for me I can move to another. But I won't be on my own. Isolation is recipe for disaster.

I agree with you totally. However, one thing I do is avoid churches owned by individuals or privately owned. You're right, church is not perfect because we are all humans in Church. The thing is, having a great and genuine relationship with Christ allows you to have the spirit of discernment to know and understand a spirit that is not of God. This is where it gets slimy where we have to be careful who lays hands on us or who we share our issues with in the name of seeking for prayers. To me that is why I prefer mainstream Churches like CITAM, Baptist, etc to privately owned. This does not mean we do not have genuine pastors out there with their own Churches but we ought to be careful.

The only thing is that people don't want to be responsible. If someone thinks he or she can replace the church community let him or her do that. This is the problem of new wave of atheism in the world especially the West. People don't want religion but they have failed to replace the void left... Going to church and other religious event is not only about worshipping but sharing a sense of humor as a community.. The socialization in the West is declining and as we know we are social beings... I like and love my Jumuiya community as a Catholic here in Tanzania.. I have met people complaining about contributions but they never lack money of drinking two to four bottles of beer everyday. If you want to sustain a community you have to join your efforts together by offering your time or money.

Picture this, i get married in Tz, strong catholic, become a CWA chair in a certain diocese, i get employed as a teacher in catholic secondary school, but one day, my hubby decides to resign from his work in the church and hell breaks loose. To punish him, i get sacked from my job, my daughter who has now passed catechism exam for holy communion ,is stopped in church on the Sunday she is to get the sacrament, and Weeeee things have not been the same. I stayed out for yrs but now i know my God and am back to serve God not man.

The church is where wounded people come to be nursed. How can you say the prayer group is not going to the home because of money? Many are called but few are chosen into the gifting. On that day Jesus will say to so many leaders I NEVER knew you. My advice is go to a Bible believing church that is teaching God’s Word is being taught.

Church has two means, the building or where people for worship or church activities. Then the original meaning is the body of Christ. For one to become a member of this body you only need to believe in Jesus and accept Him as your personal savior. So one can leave the meeting place still be a member of the body of the Body of Christ so long as relationship with Christ is okay. One can do fellowship at home with his family and go to heaven. The book of Acts 4:34-35 defines what a true church looks like and one thing that stands out for me is that " neither was any among them that lacked........and distribution was made unto every man according as he had need"...... BUT today members sleep hungry, widows and orphans have no help and can not rely on the church for anything yet the MoG and WoG are living large. Saving for their 4th generation that is yet to come but the people funding this vision.... are literally being robbed day and night to the extent of borrowing and denying self. SAD. According to the above scripture that is where i draw the line matters church.

I relate with him happed to me in 2022when I lost my grandma,I remember the church elder came with books to check her records luckily she was clean until she became ill for 9months,so they said we clear everything then they'll take over everything until her burial date,but my relationship with God will never change because of human beings.

My mom went to church last in March 2023. She lost her two sons (young fathers) on the same day under very ugly circumstances. Many things happened, much was said but what hurt her most is what the church did and said. In brief, the church called her son's mungiki and warned their members not to attend the burial and if they did, they do it at a personal level not as a church member.

This is so me waaa when my mother died in the church we were born in , the church she has never missed she was known coz she wa a choir member , n when she died 1 they asked us how many we were n it was only me n my brother , they saw that as burden from nai to kach 2 . She had not payed 2 months in her card church ..God came through n she was buried with the same church the mashamba one but after we dug into our pocket , that's the day i was done ...but I love God so much 😊

A church is a community that should be there for everyone without discrimination. But don't forget a church is also a hospital for sick people who need christ for their healing. There is no perfect church because we are all sinner. Go to church because you love God and be the person you want others to be. The church has stood with me when I needed them most. please read a book titled THE GREAT CONTROVERSY and you will understand why churches behave the way they do. Give because God says you give and let God judge those who misuse funds. If you love you must give because when God loved us He gave is only son. God is asking for equal sacrifice not equal giving. Please let's normalize reading the word of God we will mature spiritually. Be there for others and God will be there for you when you need help.

The main pastor asked why he hadn't prayed.😒 His house was locked, and someone came through for him. There should be humanity in the house of God and community of believers.

Christianity, like any other discipline has its joys and its lows. My own opinion is that, it is one's responsibility to have a rapport with God, not the pastor's because they are human too and maybe more vulnerable than ourselves. The rate at which people leave Christian gatherings is the same with which many divorces are happening because most of the expectations go unmet and which expectations rarely include challenges and therefore bury heads in the sand because they do not want to work out but prefer walking out. With growth in the Christian faith, one will not leave church but prayerfully seek mending of the same. We should be guided by God Himself which Church to be a member of because again we have so many cults and demonic churches. That one "Church" failed must not infer a total failure of the entire body of Christ. Those saying that church is a scam will also be heard saying that marriage is a scam which is not true because we know of so many marriages that are working, have worked and will work. But like the proverbial saying that it is not news that a dog bit a man but news that a man bit a dog...the so called news is of the failed churches/marriages but not those that are doing great. Nonetheless, God can never be mocked neither can His body be mocked and will defend His own. Jesus Himself promised us persecution but how many of us can stand persecution and still hold their faith or have we fallen prey to the false narrative that it is the devil that causes us to go through persecution and leaving the part that it is God who permits that like He did for Job, Elijah, Peter, Paul and even Jesus Himself? Let us arise and be the building blocks to the Church of Christ.

1989 Catholic church refused to bury my grandma unless the family payed the 15 year tenths. 15 years long my grandma was having dementia living with family members far away. That when i knew the church is a biz I have more to say But.....

I think you could have also asked the lady who came to ask for the 6k so that to be sure if it is her initiative at that crucial moment for you as a family which mourns or she was sent to do it immediately after burial. The leaders of the church are also human they need to be corrected when they do wrong, judging them it is being in the same basket with them when they judge you!

I am not defending churches I have seen people being left in the cold at a time when they need the church most BUT my trith is, it is important as a Christian to be in a congregation. I feel that the so-called men of God always have an excuse for their bad behavior. I stand with Erastus when it comes to looking at your concious and deciding how to worship. God is omnipresent , and even at home, we can find God. There are genuine people of God, but the larger majority are a sham. The entire religion of Christianity needs to know the truth before they can claim 'holier than though' attitude. The church as a building is NOT the only place God is found in. I personally have so much that doesn't sit well with me where the church is involved. Until these so-called people of God take an honest look at themselves, this game will continue being played.
