In Korea there is always a drain on the bathroom floor except in hotels. Just spill water on the floor and imagine the entire bathroom as a shower stall and take a shower. but that bathroom looks so uncomfortable...In Korea the water is very soft and there is very little Kalk because the ground is composed of granite, not limestone.. So we don't wipe dry after washing dishes and let the water evaporate without wiping the floor after taking a shower.When I first came to Europe, the hardest thing to adapt to was water. I've never cared about Kalk in Korea, but here I have to be very careful about spilling water on the floor..lol

@@ak5659 Yes, there is a drain in the floor! In Korea, most of the bathrooms are "wet rooms" where the whole bathroom is waterproofed. It makes cleaning really easy because you can just spray cleaner everywhere, scrub things down, then rinse everything off with the shower head.
@miffyjc Жыл бұрын
@@ak5659 Yes, there is a drain in the bathroom. Scandinavian homes are designed with drainage in the bathroom as well, as far as I remember, so this is not an uncommon feature. Also, the type of shower in the video is unusual for Koreans too. I don't know where he stayed, but by the look of it, this seems like a rental home. If it were in Seoul, housing prices would be extremely high, making Berlin a real bargain in comparison. It's like a compact night train shower setup where everything has to be super efficient. If you visit typical Korean households, you'll find the more conventional shower setup.

Love your videos man. The shower scene was hilarious. Can I get a Knife 🤣🤣reminds me the first time I walked into a Suchi place (not my choice) and the meager servings came with chopsticks. I called the waitress back and said, I am a neanderthal unable to use such sophisticated devices, could you please bring me a fork or a spoon? She smiled and returned with a spoon and a fork.
@ak5659 Жыл бұрын
My Japanese roommate taught me how to use chopstick to pry food into pieces when there's no knife. The trick to chopsticks is that you hold the bottom one in place. It's not supposed to move. Hold it in place with your thumb and ring finger. You use the last joints of your index and middle fingers to move the top one only.
@cbs2476 Жыл бұрын
Many Korean restaurants have forks ready for kids and foreigners who don't know how to use chopsticks. BTW, I realized it's not the case in China. I don't know about Japan.
