Germans tend to know many languages, in school everybody learns english and later in school you can choose between french, spanish, russian, latin.. and we are really multicultrual, I guess everyone knows some words in turkish, arabic or russian, because there are a lot of those in your class in school. A russian/German Friend of mine in my class teached me the russian Alphabet in school, because I was interested. So we could send letters during the lessons and most teachers couldnt read them.

In eastern Germany you are most likely to either have learned Russian in school as a mandatory language or had the option to do it after grade 7 (I‘m not sure if that is a Real-/Hauptschule thing only, though) when you decide about your specializing course (household work, technical work, business work or languages). I am from a village and until the early 2000s we only had the option of Russian. Later they added French, but that was after I left school. 😅

It's more about Russian people from villages. People from Moscow, Saint-Petersburg and other large cities are not like that. But still some moments in video were funny.

I don’t think that people from Russian villages will ever have a chance to see Berlin in flesh 🤷🏻♀️they probably will never even see Moscow. That’s very sad.

You don know russian villiges. From villige is pure russia. this «Radical Living» is only foreign agent parady about Berlin. Nothing about Moskva or Piterburg here. Real Russian go to Monako, not some poor Berlin. --- troll mode off --- if you think Russian villagers joke or think about buying expensive property in europe, you are way off. honestly.... Have you been to a suburb in Piter or Moscow? Not to mention a rural town...

So funny! You mentioned in the description that most Russians live in Charlottenburg or Marzahn. True, but a bit of outdated. The most recent arrivals ( typically young IT professionals and their families, like me) prefer PBerg/KBerg and the parts of Mitte nearest to them. We love vegan food and don't like vodka :)

I've been trolling the other comments here. This comment is not it. He has the basics down, but this video is only scratching the surface. Also, most Russians I have met in Berlin do try to blend in - most of them even adapt European/modern values. I guess I have access to the source, and hence think the parody here is only trivial.
