@@mosesxaba8222 Let me clarify-there are two instances where Abraham lied to save his life concerning Sarah. The first was when Pharoah took her. God plagued Pharoah house. The second time was with Abimelech and the Lord closed the womb in his household. He was warned in a dream. It's not clear how it was revealed to Pharoah , it just says he came to Abraham after his household was plagued. Genesis 20:3 talks about Abimelech. Genesis 12:18 talks about Abraham and Pharoah concerning Sarah. Sorry for the confusion.

Just a correction in this on the basis of Quran.. Sarah was called to palace of pharaoh. He tried to touch her but she prayed to God and the body of pharaoh got stiff. This happened thrice. Pharaoh was impressed by Sarahs faith he let her go and gifted her a female slave Hagar. Sarah never lived in Haram of pharaoh. Prophet Abraham and Sarah returned with gifts.

Story has a twist for sure, as feared pharaoh did select Sarah but was unable to touch her. He found out that she was Abraham 's wife and he was a man of Allah. The pharaoh agreed to let them leave Egypt and even gave an Egyptian princess in Abraham 's care to repent on his lusty intention. Hagar was that princess and not a slave girl as portrayed in biblical stories.

This channel is not Scripturally sound! Pharaoh did NOT sleep with Sara, Abram's wife, he took her into his house with plans to marry her and this is why he was nice to Abram, so he would have Abram's blessing to marry his sister, however the truth came out before Pharaoh could marry her and so he had to give Sara back to Abram. But Pharaoh never had sexual relations with Sara because God did NOT allow it to go that far!! Scripture does not say Pharaoh committed adultery, you are adding to God's word and you are wrong. Also, Abram and his wife did NOT lie because in Hebrew custom it is common to refer to your Great-Grandfather and Grandfather as Father and this is what they did because they knew Egyptians were not familiar with this custom, so in saying that Sara was his Father's daughter he was referring to his Grandfather, the father of Terah, Abram's father, which she descended from but not from his mother. No, Abram did not lie, he used wisdom and he knew God would protect Sara, just as God did. And yes, had they known Sara was his wife they would have killed him so that Pharaoh could then marry her, seeing as Pharaoh's Egyptian religion forbid him from committing adultery, but not from committing murder. Scripture says Abram BELIEVED GOD, so this proves that Abram did trust God to work it out and this is why Abram was not rebuked as he would have been had he lied. If you recall Isaac also claimed Rebekah was his sister, and again, he also did not lie. Rebekah descended from Terah, her Great-Grandfather, who was Isaac's Grandfather. Isaac was much older than Rebekah. Again, it was a Hebrew custom to refer to your Great- Grandfather and Grandfather as your Father. Even the record of genealogies in Scripture do this.
