Just a heads up, the reason why you have so many dislikes is because of your presentation style. People hate videos where all you do is talk over everything and only show the original clip for less than a second. Duffy might've been standing because he thought Phil might've had KK or KJ, thus beating him. The way this video was edited leaves a lot to be desired. "Phil's been representing the flush. Duffy shouldn't be too worried about one combo (King of spades with the last Jack) here." (4:43) Says who? Phil probably would've played the same way with KK or KJ, trapping Duffy, especially after Duffy checks once three flush cards hit the board. I mean, Duffy shouldn't be afraid of monsters, but he is an amateur playing against Phil... forgive his 10 second pause and standing up, it's not like it's a slow roll, just nerves.

This video is a good example of how framing works. You can see this on mainstream legacy new shows everyday. They use commentary and short clips to exaggerate a particular narrative. Classic propaganda technique. Compared to most poker players, Ivy has a very long history of being one of the more collective/calm but confident professionals. And this video does NOT prove otherwise. But had you not known and watched Phil Ivy play for months/years, and you only watched the first 4-5 minutes of this particular video you might have been tricked into thinking he was a surly, belligerent poker player.

That is bad form I have only played the Main Event once and was staked in and nervous as hell. I had never played higher than a $100 tourney before 2nd day I end up all-in with my AK clubs vs QQ Flop Q-7-3 rainbow, no club I did NOT stand up because I think that is simply bad form, in pool we called it "sharking" if you started to unscrew your cue stick before the moneyball went down It was towards the end of Day 2 and our table had been together a long time and we were a friendly bunch I was already preparing my "It has been the time of my life, thank you all" speech as the 10 hits the turn. I stayed seated and silent I was just getting ready to stand up when the miracle Jack rivered and I immediately told QQ "Of course I am happy to have won, but I honestly feel bad doing it like that!" My opponent replied "All good, bro. You have been a gentleman all day so if anybody was gonna cooler me, best that it was you!" (I only took about 40% of his stack so he was not crippled, but it had to hurt!) I took that to mean that he appreciated me not groaning at the flop (I actually laughed at the flop, the laugh of the dead) and not standing up before the river PS..I made it to Day 4 and climbed two steps on the ladder before busting out
