Can we just stop for a second and appreciate Gweneth's response of "that was rude"?

When you are a good director, you let your actors act, and that's how you get gold.

The man is a brilliant actor. So glad he got his life together to be able to give us alll these incredible scenes and characters.

I don't generally get into the personal lives of people I don't know, but if you were a movie buff you couldn't help but be aware of the RDJ situation. There was a time when I seriously expected I'd wake up one day to hear that Downey had died due to overdose or car accident or some related misadventure. For such a talented artist to get his life together and attain the level of success that he did honestly makes me feel good to this day and happy for a person I've never met.

I'm sure others got this waaaay before me, but the hug when Tony sees Peter Parker in End Game and hugs him when he comes back, was a continuation of the "not there yet" gag in the limo. Such attention to detail in these movies. We were lucky to experience this ambitious cinematic universe through End Game. I don't think the magic will be replicated.

That is adorable for him to feature his real life aspects within his relationships between him & other characters here.

My sister asked her daughter how much she loved her uncle (me) and she said, "ten thousand" and my sister said, "What?!?!" so she added "ten thousand milligrams" which my sister absolutely loved for the units. The three year old niece had no idea she got rid of the thousand by the units. Still in her mind is was a lot. At 8 months old she had lifted up a book and looked at me and said, "Read me this" and that just blew my mind at 8 months. But I guess she knew what would get a long story from her uncle.

@ReligionOfSacrifice Let me see here ... a milligram is 1/1000th off a gram. 10,000 milligrams would be 10,000 1/1,000ths of a gram. 1,000 divided by 1,000 equals one. 1 X 10 = 10. 10 grams. What is something that is 10 grams, just for a frame of reference? It's weird how Mille and milli can be so vast 1 is 1,000 of something, and the other just happens to be 1 / 1,000th of something, Think of something else where two things that are so easily alike have so much diff. Still, that is a nice story.

Also, saying real, actual words at 8 months? Not just r"re mee dip," but full "ead me this"? Granted, it's just 3 words, but by 8 months, babies may have reached expert lev sound, but just may not quite have reached words. The only thing that I may have set just even more neat, but still I could fin̈d sensible here may be if she said "unca, you read me this?"

What turned out to be the biggest problem with the MCU was thinking that everybody needed to have RDJ's wit.

He was able to add REAL dimension to Tony Stark in a way NO OTHER actor could accomplish. I first saw him in "Chaplin" still one of my favourite movies and he was brilliant THEN. and in Avengers, I LOVED the shwarma scene at the end. The MCU is having him play Victor Von Doom. Genius choice as he is PERFECT top bring off Doom's enormous EGO.

Fun fact: At the end of Avengers when they’re all eating Shawarma and Captain America is sitting with his head in his hand, it’s because Chris Evans had started growing a beard for Snowpiercer.
@brianmorg4 күн бұрын
3:50 It’s said that Captain America was posed with his hand like that because he was hiding a beard from Chris Evans’ role in his next movie. They were recalled to film this scene after shooting was over.

And over a decade later, we have the silly fun callback in Deadpool Wolverine. RDJ's random improv made Marvel cinematic pop culture history!!!

I wonder how many of these "improvs" in videos like this were ACTUALLY improvs. Seems easy enough to just take great lines from a bunch of movies and say "These were all improv'ed!"

Think about people with super intelligence. A lot of them are very childish and playful, most even speaking to themselves a lot, even with people in the room.

Not all improv is good. A few of these, imo, detract from the work, or break the th wall a tad.
