When I broke my leg and had it in a splint my mare kept chasing my dog away from me, something she had never done before. She knew I was disabled and vulnerable. On the flip side my cousin worked in a zoo and said the lions would get up from slumber if someone appeared in a wheelchair. An easy meal.

When Her Majesty came to Perth in 2000 to light our eternal flame I was a member of her Royal Honor Guard. Something happened with one of police horses that caused the Queen to do a quick sidestep. She took the time to talk to several members and made a bit of a joke about it within earshot. We never missed a beat looking forward with our rifles at attention. I'll always miss Her Majesty not being around anymore. I swore my allegiance to her...

Standing on a sidewalk as a civilian in 2011 in Perth as the Queen's motorcade drove past from Perth airport to Government House. Just waving with everyone else as they passed. No pressure, no stage fright. Just a hearty wave to Her Majesty and Prince Phillip as they passed by...

Lovely lad with true values that many others should follow..... If he was in my Sea Cadet Unit, I would be especially proud of him in the way that I am with all of our Cadets, young and older..... True testament that the world we live in is a good place to be......

I was over there in 1993. When I was in the US Navy. All the guards I saw were incredibly professional. These aren't 'toy soldier', they are real members of their armed forces. They handled the ceremonial duties so well. I was proud of them.

At 5:39 the Guard squeezes his little sister's hand. (It says she's his sister at top of video). She looks sad probably because he's been away either training or on duty and she misses him. 🥺 This brought me to tears. The Guard looks as if he's trying not to tear up.
