It’s great to grow and harvest and dry all these plants the rabbits like, so you have a good supply through the winter. Some Rabbitery owners think you shouldn’t give wet greens to rabbits, but dry everything. Just a concept to help support everybody drying their excess.
@TheRabbitryCenter22 күн бұрын
That’s correct, greens hold a lot of water and can cause diarrhea and even bloat if not introduced gradually. It helps to feed mama before the kits are born so her cecotropes will have the right bacteria to inoculate their stomachs.

I think I commented on this video a while back but I just wanted to say that these videos have been super helpful! I bought two female rabbits because I thought I had a girl and a boy but it turned out to be two bucks. So anyways, now I have 2 does and 2 bucks! They are expecting and due in late October! I’m selling the manure and used hay as garden mulch and it couldn’t be going better! Thankyou for all of your helpful info!

@@TheRabbitryCenter I just felt the babies move in my Doe this morning. Most amazing thing ever🥹 I read that you could feel them but I didn't think it would feel so amazing. I could feel one little one kicking around. I've felt gut movement before so that i could tell the difference between gut and kits and this was definitely a little one kicking and moving around! So sweet. She is a thinner rabbit so it made it easier but she is healthy! I can't wait to meet the little one that was kicking my hand!! Such a sweet moment🥰

If you cut some veggies off at the ground instead of pulling, they grow back was looking forward to my 1st batch this summer but our Rodger ended up being a lady she ate everything and ate some moon flower. Still have girl Della, prob waiting for spring now. I've learned so much from you thanks!

New Zealand. Thanks for asking!

My NZ doe has had diarrhea since I got her 6 days ago. Carbon didn't sort it, so now I'm peppering her pellets with immodium. Thankfully she's eating them. I contacted the farm owner and he's sending me the feed they make (ten times cheaper than online!). But she arrived with diarreaha so we'll see. She has her timothy hay and a mix of higher and lower protein pellets. When she first came, the poop was bright yellow! Now it's just a brown mush.

Try cutting back the pellet and introduce a little more hay until things improve. Also some woody food like fodder tree branches will help too.

Just got a New Zealand doe to go with my Dutch buck. Neither my mini-rex or NZ are lifting for him though. Would a NZ be put off by a smaller buck, Bobby? She's huge in comparison. So happy to have found a NZ farm, but it was a long drive for her. She arrived and she had diarrea -a carbon capsule into her food sorted that. I might have to get a NZ buck and just count my losses on the other two? I'll look for that swollen vent. Good win for the Lions! My Bears look like they have some growing to do ...
@TheRabbitryCenter5 ай бұрын
He may have trouble reaching her to get the job done but if you catch her at the right time(inspecting the vent) she’ll be eager to breed Check out the table breeding video when you get a chance. kzbin.info/www/bejne/f3ezc6upl9-mpKMfeature=shared

I love watching your channel. Unfortunately I'm having trouble breeding one of my rabbits he's a mini lionhead & I'm trying to breed him to my lops. I was wondering if he could be to small for them? I bred him to my lionhead & they just had a litter of 8. I never saw any falloffs so I kept them in the cage together for 3 weeks & she had the kits on day 30 of putting her in so they must of bred. Now I've tried to breed my lops to them which are 10 months & both had a litter from the previous owner but I can't get my male to breed with either of them. Any solutions PLEASE. 😢

Just re bred yesterday both my does, and that single kit my first time mom had is fat and healthy! Now trying to slim down one of my bucks when we got him he had just been wormed and was underweight we got him back to health but he put on a bit to much so reducing his pellets now to get that balance slim trim weight

When I bred my rabbits, the buck stomped, it's foot was wondering why he does that?
@TheRabbitryCenter5 ай бұрын
He’s excited. He’s trying to entice the doe to lift for him. He’ll bite her back and Hug her with all his might until he’s tuckered out. He’ll take short breaks, Kiss her on her cheek, lay patiently and quickly try again after catching his breath.
