When Should You Inform

Family members can be added to the application at any time during the process, including after the visa is issued, but prior to obtaining permanent resident status. Applicants are instructed to inform IRCC immediately if their family composition has changed (e.g., the birth of a child, marriage, divorce).
If you get married after submission of your PR application and inform IRCC to add your spouse, this does not impact your CRS scores and your scores will not be recalculated.

Hello Sir, thank you & God bless you for this video you shared. I have a perculiar situation. I recieved my PPR on the 17/5/2022. I declared that I was traditionally married via a webform on 21/5/2022 but my court wedding was on the 6th of June 2022. I didn't get a response and ignorantly I travelled to Canada on the 2/09/2022. I was however stopped at the border when I was asked if I was married and I replied yes. The officer said the webform I filled on the 21/05/2022 has not been reflected yet. I was given two options. To either withdraw my application or be excluded from Canada. I withdrew my application. When I got back home on the 7th Sept. 2022, I recieved a message of an update in my application portal. The update was that the initial 'Approved' has been changed to 'Processing'. How would you advise me to proceed at this point Sir?

Submit n get it stamped while they send you application kit. You can then send it later again to get the old visa cancelled and new one stamped once ur spouse is added

If applicable, we invite you to include this information when you submit a new application. Then I came to India and got married in April 2022. On June 07, 2022 I received Passport Pickup email and the moment I received it, I immediately informed the IRCC through web form and shared my marriage certificate. But I received a COPR with Martial status as "Single". I have generated a web form to IRCC and emailed to New Delhi, High Commission of Canada to get some resolution. It was just I had proof of the webforms that I generated about my status change and I got reply for these. If you circumstances are exact similar, it should be ok. Provided you and your partner had the pr approvals as an independent person. Gud luck 👍🏻

@@sarindersingh3670 yeah I did inform ircc and all other govt platforms about the change. Ircc was informed as well and the status was changed on their systems. I believe you should have informed ircc to be on a safer note. Rest try consulting an immigration lawyer, they can guide you more.

That's why you should not use illegal agents who themselves do not know the law or process. Send your passport for stamping. If you get married before your first landing you can inform IRCC and follow the process as mention in the video. You spouse will be added
