On the dynamite thing, I think it's clearly negligent to leave dynamite behind. Especially if it is ACTUAL dynamite, as in nitroglycerine absorbed in a powder to stabilize it since it only stays stable for a period of time and can eventually start to "sweat" the nitroglycerine, at which point it is EXTREMELY sensitive. Short response, leaving dynamite somewhere random is bad.

we don't even know how long it's been there at lest in u.s. i believe it was banned from local hardware after 1970s, my neighbors dad used to run the local hardware store and sold blasting caps and Dynamite. although there was negligent but same time i feel like that dynamite was there long before the previous owner, also possibility they just left a bunch of things when they moved, we found stuff in our house from pervious owners we did get lucky and found some silver from a switchboard telephone system plug, our house used to be a telephone switchboard

@hauntedshadowslegacy2826 2 жыл бұрын
@@saab9251 They were directly above an airfield at the time (you can see the runway when the skydivers look down). There are a few buildings in the area, but it's generally low-density. I have no idea where exactly the planes went, but I'm willing to bet the one with the sheared-off wing took a dive right into the airfield; planes kinda need both wings to glide. It is worth noting that only one of the planes was rendered unable to fly in the incident. I do believe that pilot landed that plane, but I don't know if it was under power or dead-stick. As for the planes trying to get as close as possible, yep. Unfortunately, the pilots got so close that they were unable to maintain visual separation. Because Cessnas are high-mounted-wing aircraft, the lower pilot could not get a visual on the upper pilot. As for why the upper pilot didn't try to evade, they also had a duty to protect the skydivers (and the most obvious methods of avoidance that one would think of quickly would put the skydivers at increased risk of harm- those options were struck quickly). They didn't have time to come up with a safe maneuver, so the collision happened.

For ratting out an undercover cop, assuming no malice intent, I would say that it would not be illegal. As it is not your responsibility to keep an undercover cop’s identity a secret. Now if malice intent was assumed, then I would say that would be illegal.
@kirabruce8199
@kirabruce8199 3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I doubt there has to actually be intent to harm. For example, you can still be considered at fault for an accident in a car, but you did not intend to hurt anyone. But your actions still result in you having consequences, maybe just reduced because it was clearly and accident.
@charlesrense5199

If cops are gonna go undercover, it behooves them to be really good at not being obviously cops. If there were a law saying you can't call them out as cops, than they're just gonna be less good at pretending not to be cops because there's less motivation to master the subterfuge. If they're smart, they'll offer cash rewards for identifying undercover cops so they don't end up making obvious mistakes when it matters.

@@williaml3678 I don’t think you could argue that in most cases. It is not illegal to tell someone that they shouldn’t commit a crime, even if it is due to police officers. It is not a right given to peace officers executing their duties to impeach on a civilians right to free speech, so as to remain undercover. Now. If you are told to leave the scene of a crime, or doing something to destroy evidence, (Which they’d have to prove was evidence to charge you.) that’s different. They can detain, and arrest you almost without a doubt. What they could charge you with is less clear, and what they could make stick is a totally separate question. Granted. IANAL and this isn’t advice. So grain of salt.

I feel like with the undercover cop, if someone knows you're an undercover cop then they can't be expected to play along, not everyone's that good of an actor. @@alphacraig4784 it seems like it would feel different though. Candles are smooth, and waxy. I've never seen dynamite in real life, but it seems like it would have more texture. I picture something very much like a road flare: encased in waxed paper, which doesn't really feel like pure wax. Plus candle wicks are short (much to my consternation when the power is out). Fuses for dynamite I imagine are probably similar to those green fuses on premium fireworks, which are stiff and plastic feeling, and not easily mistaken for a soft waxy candle wick. And when lit they would certainly give themselves away as not a candle. Like I say, I've never seen the real thing, but these are my best impressions.

In regards to whether or not it's illegal to point out someone as an undercover cop. I remember a court case where someone had been sued for flashing their headlights to indicate that there was a cop watching for speeders ahead. initially that person was found guilty and punished but it was appealed and it was found that they had every right to flash their headlights and the case was thrown out. In that story the moral basically was you can flash your headlights but you may have problems as a result and it may or may not be okay basically it depends.

A stick of Dynamite is made of cardboard tube, and is not waxy. I've seen decorative candles in glasses but never in a tight-fitting cardboard sleeve. Furthermore there's no place to light it, unless the previous owner had _also_ left a fuse and blasting cap inserted. In that case, a candle never has a long string hanging off as a wick as that would not work. If lit, the fuse does _not_ act like a plain string.

The undercover cop one actually happened. Cops were entrapping rideshare drivers by going to non-taxied areas, flagging them down as hitchhikers saying their phones were dead, going on the trip with the driver off of rideshare status, going "thank you so much, can we offer you a few bucks as thanks for your help?" and then charging them as illegally operating a taxi. Some guy recognized 2 officers who did that to him, waited for a driver to pull up, and told him "hey, they're trying to mark you for a trumped-up charge." Backup pulled up immediately and they threatened to arrest the guy for interfering. I think the video I saw ended without him being arrested or before he was arrested, but they definitely took some kind of action against him.

So for the undercover police question I believe it would be intent/situation that would determine the legality. If you intend on causing harm or in a situation where harm is likely or occurs then it would be likely that you could be charged for some sort of endangerment or manslaughter charges. But if you're at a protest or some sort of social event and just want to make people aware of an officer's presence I don't think that would be illegal, it would also probably fall under 1st amendment protections since it's technically speech against a government official making it technically political speech, or you'd probably have a decent chance of making that argument in court.

I know as a matter of fact that you can get fines and possible jail time in some situations I'll list two below that I am sort of aware of. 1. Malice Intent (a police officer who is attempting to stop a gang and someone notices it is a police officer) It could be manslaughter as well if it is a citizen who knows the Police Officer and tells the people he is with who are gang-members. (bad wording there) 2. Flashing your lights at a car to warn them about a speed-van or undercover-police car. (fine/s)

It took me three motorcycle accidents in 12 years to quit forever motorcycle. All three weren't my fault. All three were the car involved's faults. I quit anyway because I was so lucky to be alive in the last one. Motorcycle are so fun and I understand why people won't stop but I know you have to be hyper vigilant in traffic and I know I'm not vigilant enough. Stay safe my bikers

Those two airplanes were just sky mating. It’s a ritual that usually takes place without pilots present as they are usually pretty shy. This went wrong when the male plane was frightened by an observer jumping from the plane, the fire you saw were warning flashes of brilliant light.

On a more serious note about the dynamite - I think the case would be a relatively easy win, depending on the area. Explosives are a regulated and licensed material in most first world regions of the world, so criminal charges would likely be a precursor to the civil case - and my understanding is that a successful criminal charge is likely to make for a very successful civil case. Whether or not you are able to collect though...

Re the tunnel: Could have included balustrades so it's for pedestrians only. Or, draw some construction work seen near the far end of the tunnel, and stick _real_ orange cones across the opening.

2 of my high school classmates were killed 2 years after we graduated (so we were 19-20) in a drunk driving accident where (yes they were on their way to go drinking underage) but the girl who hit them was way over served (underage as well she was 19) she had to be helped into her car... anyway... she shows up to court wearing a ripped tie dye t shirt, ripped sweat pants, and hair up in a messy bun. She also broke house arrest several times to go out and party. She had zero sympathy or apathy or guilt for what she did. That she killed 2 people and minorly injured another. She just wanted to party

The only reason for me being against the death penalty is that someone will eventually end up being killed unjustly. This kind of case makes me almost doubt my resolution to be against the death penalty. People like that should at least rot in jail for the rest of their lives. If even one incident could be avoided through a zero tolerance and hardcore sentencing system, then it would be worth it. Someone who takes another person's life due to malice or negligence should not get off with a few years in prison.

3:33 that seems like it's a beer distillery collapsing. Not likely to catch fire but possible. More likely to cause many other problems. Yes, it did catch fire. It is possible to, but at least if it is a beer distillery silo, it's more likely to cause many other problems before the ethanol would ignite. While you should treat it as flammable even when it's a low likelihood (as shown here) its also not everyone's first reaction in low likelihood. Ideal reactions aren't always realistic expectations of a reaction
