I wish I could agree with you. Being a musician in the Portland area, I am surrounded by amazing musicians who IMO should have been ‘discovered’ long ago. Not all great musicians get found...nor wish too for that matter. Some have even walked away at the brink of stardom. Being a celebrity musician is a whole different animal as compared to being a musician who plays for the love of playing. Not to say they can’t overlap. I have had the pleasure of meeting Deen Castronovo and he is both. Hands down. All that aside, this guy is amazing! He has a prolific comprehension of music theory and composition, all done on the fly... and is a switchblade musician, being able to play many parts. I love watching his videos!

He is an average guitarist at best; the most impressive thing is his use of tech to be a one man band.
@cutthroattruthnews47666 жыл бұрын
40? um try 1993...lol Bands who had 3 shows were being signed, Most guitar players can play just about any grunge-punk whatever you wanna call it. It's not how you play or "the bar" its not even talent to be honest.Because I can mimick anyone note for note most likely, it's about Promo, record execs fired talent scouts cut out artists and make more money making Justin Biebers and Tekashi's, why we have a world of reunions, your not gonna see another Scott Weiland, Axl Rose, Kurt Cobain, Jim morrision James hetfield like rock died.
@cutthroattruthnews47666 жыл бұрын
Of course, but this guy plays covers and is in fact mimicking, Some one said the Bar was high for guitarists, its not, its the industry...Along with what art you create, some songs are so simple and people got mega huge, the Beatles Nirvana, the Sex pistols, none of those bands are known for having AMAZING guitarists, they just knew how to put the art together well, Kurt said himself it was ridiculous people were getting signed after 2 and 3 gigs then. So I disagree with there even being a "Bar" what you have today is an industry who doesn't want to look for original bands, a million guys who can play amazing. Like talent comes cheap because it's a guitar, in fact to use the word "Bar" Like they would put a slash cover guy out there if they could but he would never meet the bar. Thats why you have I mean Slash will be here tomorrow, still on tour. Lots of amazing guitarist, are they playing with there soul well some, but art isn't appreciated as it was. Play any classic Rock song ever Pretty much all simple. look really look at Kurt Cobain, he could play but he wasn't anywhere near a Jimi so it's about the art not an "Bar" and if you cover you mimick, unless ur adding something and making it your own like an extension of yourself. There's a million guys who do what this guy is doing, and make ok money on the side, like a DJ but the concept of live music is better.

I think what I like most about this cover, is that it isn't a note-for-note parroting, like so many YT guitarists do. This cover has an alternate intepretation, smokey, dangerously slow, moody and atmospheric. I'm sure Jimi digs it from the great beyond.

People making fun of him for "not playing Hendrix right". Claim to be fans of Hendrix. Then you have to agree that Hendrix fucked up the Star Spangled Banner in '69 because Hendrix didn't play that note for note, like the original, and was even chastised for being 'Un-American' because he apparently 'fucked it up'. Let a musician be a musician. Stop back seat performing. He could've taken the line "Foxy Lady" and tuned that shit to dubstep for all I care. It's original. It's fantastic musicianship and you should at least appreciate that he decided to be original with a timeless tune while respecting the roots of blues. We don't need to hear the same song played the same way until we die, because that's not what music is. It's expression. Get over your nostalgic selves.

Just discovered your channel and had to go back to the beginning. Wow. I thought I was going to see an evolution, but clearly you’ve always been talented.

A 5 hour gig playing to noone at a golf course looks like the stuff of nightmares. I wonder how much that kind of gig pays.

A lot considering the potential of video content for weeks.

Andrew Elias that's how the Steve Vai video went down. He played to 3 people yet 2 million see it on youtube within a few weeks/months

Thomas Paine you apparently don't play enough gigs.
@thomaspaine6567 жыл бұрын
True. I'd take this gig no question but I'd need a band first since nobody wants to watch a 5 hour drum solo.

This is so great, new too this channel and this is what it is to be a "struggling" musician waiting for a break, for most skilled musicians it never goes anywhere, but if you got to do what you love and still make a living it beats most other jobs...youtube is a great way to get out there and you are growing so looking forward to see where it leads you....

This is simply amazing ! I now enjoy riding my motorcycle and listening to this all along the road , everything changes immediately and I start looking at life differently. You have a fan from MOROCCO right now , keep it up bro ! I'm sharing this video with everyone, you deserve performing at the Mawazine Festival ;)

It's a privilege to be an early adopter and privy to your gigging days, prior to your selling out arenas. It won't be near as impressive for those who discover you five years from now, after you've already reached 'rock god' status, who decide to go back and watch these old KZbin videos. Can't wait to witness your complete transformation, assuming that's something you would want for yourself.

+JoeyJones, you said exactly what I couldn't find the words to say. You pretty much summed up any and every decently intelligent person's thoughts. I am blown away by his talent. Definitely putting many of the (guitar) "greats" to shame, nevermind being the entire band in himself! Absolutely incredible.
