It's really sad for Indian music industry that unlike anywhere else in the world music industry in India is hijacked by Bollywood. Bollywood has monopoly over Indian music. I remember back in the 90s Indian music industry was on route to becoming a separate entity when singers and bands like Silk Route, Bombay Vikings, Lucky Ali, Strings, Falguni Pathak, Colonial cousins, Junoon etc were on the rise.
