I remember this match. Wawrinka lost the next match to Djokovic in 5 set epic. He really was at great level in this tournament, could have beaten anyone.

Insane backhand. Wish he would be able to still play like that.

@@MistahhMingus But's it's annoying when commentators mention someone who isn't even playing the match. They treat Federer as though he invented the game. Although Stan is mostly an aggressive baseliner, he often finishes points at the net and people need to realize that.

Bro hit through PRIME Andy Murray on a hard court...just let that sink in for a second.

Him and Del Potro are the two guys closest to the BIG 4 in my opinion. (Yes, I included Murray, I think he deserves to be in the discussion with Roger, Rafa, and Novak)

Murray isn't even allowed to tie the Big 3's shoelaces.
@lespaul5734 Жыл бұрын
@@Teutonius88 There's no need for such disrepsect. Did Murray achieve as much as the Big 3? Obviously not! But he was miles ahead of everyone behind him, and was the only real threat to any of the big 3. He didn't win as many slams or tournaments, but he was there at every single quarter/semi/final and made life difficult for even the best players. He's earned his place as one of the best, and if it weren't for the Big 3, he would have dominated the era.

When wawrinka goes god mode only 2011, 2015, and 2021 Novak can beat him.

@ryanmcclintock47982 жыл бұрын
@@karimomar3528 the reason I Said 2015 and 2012 is because he one 3 grand slams in those years and his overall winning percentages where insane those seasons. Ik Wawrinka beat Djocovic in the 2015 French but Wawrinka went God mode and he is literally a top 2 player when he is in that zone.

I saw Wawrinka at the beginning of his career, playing in Gstaad. What a backhand! He lost, but I told myself ( and everyone else) there is no way this guy will not get number 1 in the world. I was wrong , but number 3 is also not bad.

If Wawrinka doesnt exist on 2015,2016 to stop Prime Djokovic at Rolland Garros 2015 and Us Open 2016 so Djokovic is far more than 22 Slams now. Wawrinka always active beast mode when facing Djokovic from 2014-2016. But his achilles is inconsistent period. At his best day He could beat anyone.
@andrejmitrovic49582 жыл бұрын
Us 2016 wasnt prime Novak tho, he shouldnt have went to final, had 3 walkovers , but agreed with RG 2015 and AO 2014, that was prime Novak.

@@prempititantipool3075 Federer's prime was from 2004-2007. Djokovic only managed to beat Federer once in those years. In the first four months in 2008 Federer had mononucleosis, which was partly why he didn't have the same success that he had in those months during 2008 compared to the success that he had in those same months in 2004-2007. Now, on the otherhand, Federer beat Djokovic 3 times in 2015, which is considered to be Djokovic's peak year. Federer also beat Djokovic 2 times in 2011, one of the times was at RG 2011 when Djokovic was entering that match with a 47 match winning streak. Conclusion: Federer beat Djokovic more times during Djokovic's prime compared to the amount of times that Djokovic was able to beat Federer during Federer's prime

Wawrinka toyed with Murray, the number 3 in the world. Djokovic was able to beat him after a war. No wonder the serbian lost the final afterwards. He had to spend all his energy to beat the swiss.

Wawrinka was a great tennis player in his prime, but I could simply never bring myself to root for him as he is not a good person at all. People who aren’t cut out for family life shouldn’t have a wife and kids.
