The day the Lamplighter was banished from the Seven, Starlight seemed like the best choice to replace him. Being the innocent young lady that she is, she doesn't know the dark side of what's going on in Vought America and the Seven behind the curtains of publicity that the media shows the public. Starlight learns the harsh truth the very first day she is inducted into the Seven.

Extortion under false pretenses (at least on the show) is artificially-manufactured consent. Lying to someone to get something you want from them is a very loose usage of the word "consent." In either case, Starlight betrayed her own principles to get what she wanted, but I'm not sure I'd consider it a gleeful occasion to celebrate the pressuring of someone into certain acts under the direct threat of consequence.

Starlight's scenario wouldn't qualify as explicit force but it almost certainly could be considered a form of coercion in that you're introducing an ultimatum and potential negative consequence to someone in order to pressure them to do something they otherwise reasonably wouldn't. Many courts would probably find what the boys did to Starlight to be illegal, because I'm not sure if you could consider their "negotiation method" here to be legitimate. I wouldn't, but then I'm not a judge.
