Your point regarding the importance of establishing trust, integrity, and empathy as the bedrock for brand building as an entrepreneur is absolutely on point🎯In an increasingly digital landscape where the human touch can be overshadowed, it becomes paramount to regard these qualities as key performance indicators that signal success.

I love the mashup of hyper-local, grassroots economic development with startup ecosystems like Accelerators. However, I recognize the limits of this. When the geographic area of startup development is so small, cloud-based startup ecosystems make a lot of sense.

I love all the points he makes about geography not affecting who gets hired! Makes me think my dreams of living in a sleepy ocean town could actually be a reality.

Indeed, Kinsley, the reality of working from wonderful shore or mountain locations in remote areas has been realized. You simply might need to travel for face to face meetings or organization retreats from time to time depending on the organization.

Building trust with all stakeholders in the process is clearly important; add being a dynamic story teller and the combination is magic.

Exactly, Branche...trust and integrity are key ingredients to long term success. And communicating well is super important, especially in a time where short attention spans and information overload are challenging realities.

It's interesting to think of this in terms of networking - is it easier or more difficult to network virtually?

It can be easier in that you can carefully choose whom to reach out to via a conference platform and/or linkedin and eventually email. However, the response rate is lower than if you talk to someone in person. Of course, you never know whom you might bump into at an event...that serendipity has yielded great success for me over my career. Ultimately, you can be more successful doing either, you just need to plan your approach more carefully to meet your goals.

What I'm hearing from this is this reinforcement: do more of what makes you "you": as a person or organization.
