My take is this. Don’t try to get good at tests, get good at the subject. If you know the subject well, you don’t need to do crazy tricks like before sleep hypnosis or eating memory foods before a test. When I took my A+, I just went in and took it without flash cards or memory exercises because I knew the material very well. All test taking skills create is bunch of people who can’t design a network because they don’t really understand the subject. I’ve seen countless people with a Network+ who don’t understand the layers. They just repeat things like don’t throw away sausage pizza, but never touched Wireshark in the lives.

Hey Keith just wanted to say thank you for all the knowledge you provide for us. I joined the marines and was given a job as a network administrator with no knowledge of anything IT until my Sargents helped me a little. Then I tried college to sharpen my skills specifically with Cisco equipment but the professors were so monotone and it was a very unmotivated experience. That’s what I found out about Cbtnuggets and can honestly say that it takes a lot for someone to really get my attention when it comes to education and you exceed it on all levels thank you again.

My ADHD makes study for these exams at the last minute, within two weeks. I repeat the same process each year. I already did it with CCNA, three years in a row that I study in depth within the last two weeks and never complete any of the study materials I invested in. I retake the exam for the third time this week and I failed again for the third time studying consistently for a year. The time blindness hits me hard and I continue to time warp the entire year without looking at my CCNA books, labs, and practice exams. Luckily, I had free vouchers for the last three years, each year from my job. But I will have to take it for the fourth time out of my pocket. Although I did manage to pass the A+ and Network+ cramming for the last two weeks, but with CCNA it is impossible.

I believe I remember some items on my exam that is included in that book. Keep reviewing man and goodluck :)

Freddy Calderon Let me add some info. Make sure to study the "show" commands and familiarize the output for those commands. Then you will solve the majority of the simulations and simlet questions. The concepts and technologies are the ones that makes the exam hard in my opinion ONLY. But of course, since you will take the exam on July, take consideration that the exam may be updated by Cisco. So make sure you have strong foundation on networking. You can do it.

If you have some prior knowledge of networking like you understand 'somewhat' of sub-netting, interface configuration, and maybe workings of some protocols and you study giving at least 4 hours a day, you should pass it within three weeks but point is, to be consistent.
