About 20 years ago I got pulled over for DUI. And, I was guilty. Running through my head was not “be a b$tch”, “resist arrest”, “I can outrun HiPo”. The little voice inside my head said “You’re busted. Don’t do anything to make this worse. You already made one bad decision tonight, don’t make it two”. So, I answered questions, let him cuff me, got in his vehicle (front seat, which surprised me a little) and just took my punishment. When we got to county jail he walked me in and handcuffed me to a rail to wait for my mug shot. I got my hand out of my cuff. When he came back he asked why I didn’t run. What the hell man? I decided no more bad decisions tonight, so….im just waiting.
