What makes him so special is how free he plays Tennis. No ground line play or anything. He plays whatever fits. He often trolls around but if you look, a lot of the times he decides to go for a winner and he knows what will be a winner. He isn't like many players who just go for the safest option. I could imagine his free play style has something to do with why his touch is so accurate.

Honestly if Kyrgios can repeat his 2022 season he would be a GS champion (singles) IMO, but its tough to say when he keeps coming in and out of the sport.

I think he has (or had) potential rivaling that of Alcaraz, it’s just his effort is not nearly as much as Carlitos. As a diehard Kyrgios fan, it’s certainly tough to see such a talent not be put to work

Down-the-line tweener at 6:45, underrated, not because of the shot itself, but he saw it hit the net and judged the spin correctly so the ball ended up between his legs. Could be some luck involved as well, still impressive though.

I'm interested in his between-the-legs shots. Does this shot provide an advantage? I guess if the ball is coming straight for you you might not have time to move to do a normal return, but sometimes he uses it when he's running to make the hit. Is there an advantage in the opponent not being able to predict where the ball is going?

#1 was a miss-hit, #2 was pure luck as his back was towards the net and therefore he had little idea where his ball was going (you can see his surprised look) #5 and 6 (the 'tweeners from the baseline are hugely lucky). The next two forehands were magical but H2H v Djokovic is 1-3, v Nadal is 3-6 and v Federer is 1-6. He doesn't have the results to back up your claim. Ih found tennis so easy he should have better stats. An entertaining player. nevertheless.
