Mens doubles is especially hazardous! they shd wear helmets (head injuries can b permanent) and frontal personal protection (but not to the extent of the seigfried n roy costume ones! yikes!). Although my husband and I won a mxd doubles event in 2017 (city club over 200 members) I dont like even playing mxd doubles any more as its too dangerous for the females. i now play ladies doubles and teach/coach younger and adult players...very rewarding...

It's pretty obvious to me that most of the times they do it on purpose so the opponent's has like no chance of returning the ball back. Most of the times when they hit the opponent they have like all the f*cking court to place the shot but they hit em anyway, that's why it triggers me so much that they apologize, it's like "dude if you're gonna do that and almost everyone does then don't be hypocrite and don't apologize and just play accepting that doing that is accepted in the tour".
