This match has clearly changed the course of tennis in recent times...Novak played great here, had MPs…Sinner on the very brink of losing then saved three MPs consecutively, broke Novak’s serve next game, and then sealed the match on his serve…Novak hasn’t been the same since, while this catapulted Sinner into being the best in the game as of now

Djokovic just hasn't been the same player since he lost this match whilst having 3 match points (although they were on Sinner's service game), full credit to Sinner for mentally hanging in there and getting the win in the end. Hard to believe that it was a week before this match, Djokovic had steamrolled Alcaraz and Sinner back-to-back in the semis and final to win his 7th ATP Finals title. Let's see how Djokovic plays at RG, Wimbledon, Olympics and USO this year

Which is strange cuz it’s just Davis cup…djokovic has actually had a very bad year. He doesn’t seem like the same competitive beast that he usually is…
@z1az28523 күн бұрын
Sinner torpedoed his own chances in the ATP finals by playing a very long and tiring match with Medvedev. While novak was far superior to Alcaraz in their semi match, he and sinner had a fantastic three set battle that sinner won though it was very close. in all honesty, had sinner managed himself vs Medvedev he would have had the edge in the final though a small one.

The power, strength, agonism and intensity showed in this match is out-of-this-world! It gets me every damn time. Sinner, rising star and wonderkid hungry for trophies, vs Djokovic, incumbent GOAT with both mind and body still firmly set to win. How could have it been any less spectacular??

Insane intensity. What kind of surface is this - so fast and furious. Each shot is zipping in a hurry. That Djokovic is able to give a run for the money to Sinner for each of the rally despite his age is a testimony to the physical and mental form he is in. Tough to find a better competitor than him. Sinner is certainly the person to watch in the new era. He has mastered Djokovic mentally and physically. Others will have to find a higher level to beat Sinner.

an incredible match. Some of the best ball striking of any match. Certainly shows what Sinner can do.... That game where Sinner was down 0/40 but yet held, was reminiscent of the match where Federer was serving for the match and Novak blistered a return that was unexpected, and gave Federer doubt, going on to lose the match. This comeback gave Novak the doubt. Belief is VERY important, and Novak a case of doubt...
