Yeah the first screen took me a while. The second room took me a little bit to finish the first as I didn't know what it wanted me to do, but after you know what to do, I think it might be the easiest screen in celeste

By the way, I noticed a trend in c-sides. The first screen: difficult, but short. Second screen: a respite, the screen is very easy. Third screen: A difficult and long level where you need to complete it in one pass (except 6C)

I've never beaten 4c second screen legit. I ended up learning wavedash cheese I saw in 100% deathless run instead and it still took me a good while. Without it, I could barely manage stamina to get to the first spike gap and then almost always missed the dash crystal. Then there's 2c. I have 3 golden berries, 1a, 2a, and 2c. Level has 1 screen as far as I'm concerned, but in terms of actual screen transition first screen is just a "gotcha" on whether you noticed the spikes after the dreamblock and know to hold left and climb button on exit. Second screen isn't hard I think, but to say it's easier than the first is just not a thing.

@@some-maggotif it helps at all, whenever you do stamina management, any jump inward you can think of as consuming 1 jump of stamina, and any jump outward consumes 0, while holding onto the wall and climbing decreases the stamina consistently (climbing more than just holding on). Madeline’s max stamina lasts 5 jumps worth of stamina - if you puzzle it out right and use jumping outward instead of inward whenever you can, you can get through the screen pretty easily! Just need to know when to use the 1 jumps worth of stamina

@@nebulae5236 when you say "jump inward" do you mean climbing on a block to the left and jump holding the -right- left (edit i swear what inward means xD) button, for example? i guess i should think about doing consistent strats if i ever want to golden berry this level x3 but yeah, i've beaten all c-sides, i've beaten farewell, and this exact screen is just mental damage. i dropped celeste for a good year on this screen, and after replaying this whole game again (with noticeable improvement) it was just as daunting as the first time, and nothing coming after made me feel as stuck. i know for certain that the last screen on 7c is more difficult for example but at no other point i've felt like i'm missing something. wavedashing behind the block is a legit strat, but it wasn't taught at this point and it still gave me some 10 deaths per attempt at that point.

I spent 30min on this screen trying to get a pixel perfect setup to stand on top of the moving block to dash from it till the end of the room. After 30min I checked KZbin and saw I only had to jump and dash up to do it 😅

Yeah, mirror temple is really good. And so is Celeste, I bought it twice on 2 different consoles and its one of my favorite games ever. I would highly recommend getting it as soon as you can. The modded maps are great

I first practiced using modifiers with unlimited dashes to see if it's possible. Then you kinda just get to feel and see where you need to dash. I have another video in my channel where I somehow got it 5 tomes in a row. You just get the feel of demo dashes with spinners after a while. It's a lot harder for me with the ones in chapter 3
