Note: Haile Selassie had different names and titles throughout his life, and only took the name Haile Selassie when he became Emperor, but ease of understanding I have almost exclusively referred to him as Haile Selassie. The same goes for Ethiopia, which was called Abyssinia, but only by other countries. The Ethiopians always referred to themselves as such and I have done the same. Hopefully there are no mispronunciations of names or places.

Every book, video, and article I looked at all said Selassie was from the Amhara tribe and I couldn't find any sources saying otherwise.
