When the Fish are Shutdown, Try Different Things! Fishing West Lakes, South Australia

In this week's episode, I venture out to the steps of West Lakes with a handful of sub-surface, soft plastics and hard bodied lures! While this particular session proved to be quite slow going, it was a nice change from the classroom! This style of fishing can prove to be great fun with bream and salmon in particular.

Awesome footage again. Surface fishing is so addictive and fun to watch. The anticipation of a strike is so amplified. Why would a full moon and big tide be not good for WL? You think the surface action will start to fire up as it gets warmer?

Another awesome video! Love fishing at West Lakes as it normally produces heaps of fish. Been there lots the past few months and have been bagging out on salmon when they are busting up. Also, at that same bridge that you saw the mullet, I was kayaking under that and there would have been hundreds if not a thousand! Very hard to catch though.

Thanks mate! That was down at Berry Bay, there's no real spot for them though. I've heard numerous reports this winter of fish coming from Browns, Daly's and a few other beaches towards the Bottom End! Good luck 🎣
