i did it 3 years ago, 6 policeman led by a double jointed sarge; was so much fun, we even got the 'best in production ' during the local critics review...i fell into the orchestra pit during rehearsals...cymbals hurt..

Tim Tyler must have been in a circus but I must say his nickname should be elastic man or Mr Flexible
@bluidemenace112 жыл бұрын
I've never understood that. All you need to do is listen to the lyrics to realize that G&S were not just amazingly talented, but hilariously satirical.

my school is doing it this year, its so amazing how much our choreography is alike to the actual production, i'm a pirate but i love watching our sarge do this song. i also love performing "with cat like tread"
@Martin-es8mb10 күн бұрын
So you were a pirate watching the police Sargent do this song...and you had the spirit of tony Azito too...the guy who was the police Sargent in the central park production and the Broadway stage musical and the film.

A very well acted production, nicely directed, with a superb Mabel, but the clowning by the sergeant and ensemble in this scene is just too much. The Papp version with Linda Ronstadt takes mild liberties but remains fantastic and true to the song and melodies; sadly this Foeman loses the essence on what its all about in daft comedy.
