Thank you for posting daily & helping us remind ourselves that we weren't imagining ANYthing with the toxic ploys - the head games, miserableness, the toxic manipulation, gaslighting, the enabling flying monkeys, the deceptions, as well as the verbal (& physical) abuses. Your daily flowers are also a lovely support & they are wonderfully encouraging in starting the day off in the BEST way for *us!* Thanks again for your posts & helping us to help ourselves after so much negativity & bullying. Healing also means having healthy Others around Us, & I'm glad you're here too! Namaste! 💓🌺😊

Unfortunately, if the abuse was long term, you are far away from peace. To heal the brain has to feel safe and rewire itself back to creation and deep sleep a relaxed state. Which is good new because this is a new chapter in your life where once you start being mindful and spiritually surrender yourself to god and have faith.

Yes, I was trained as a child to take abuse because my Dad was an abusive alcoholic and back in the 60's you didn't leave your husband, you stayed. Me, my brothers and sisters begged my Mom to leave him. He would lock us out of the house to beat my Mom. No cops were called back in those days, the neighbors did not get involved. Everyone knew what went on in our home. My grandparents knew. Noone said anything to my Dad. THERE WERE NO BOUNDARIES. No wonder I picked out a Monster and put up with him for so long. IT STARTED THE DAY I WAS BORN IN MAY 1960 WHEN I WAS BORN INTO A TOXIC FAMILY.

Narcissists make you go crazy. They are insane; they're a psyscho. My Narc turned me into a worldwide crazy woman. He goes to my school, and he even spread rumors throughout the whole school and now everyone thinks I'm crazy. I still can't believe someone who looks so angelic on the outside turned out to be a narcissist. He's hoovering me for another round of cats and dogs. I went through a decade of it; I hated it.

Gaslighting is a form of psychological manipulation in which the abuser attempts to sow self-doubt and confusion in their victim's mind. Typically, gaslighters are seeking to gain power and control over the other person, by distorting reality and forcing them to question their own judgment and intuition.

Exited a narcistic relationship a year ago. Then came a different person...as a TEST. Didn't catch on as quickly as I'd hoped...gave free pass for hanging up the phone and then blocking me. However, when this narc tried gaslighting me...I was able to RESPOND instead of reacting. I ended this relationship within one week of meeting this person! Narcissistic has the dark side feeling superior and angers that’s unresolved in their life for years! They are combative and you can’t have a regular conversation they are hyper sensitive on everything and they want to win ! I don’t want to jeopardize my recovery anymore and I’m very grateful and humble I have a chance to find happiness and peace! Again Thank You Andrew. The truth hurts when you live alone and your only child is the abuser. I'm so curious as to how other parents cope. I'm torn up about possible brain damage due to drug abuse and maybe she lacks the good sense that it will take to navigate thru life on her own. However after 33 yrs. of trying and her not stepping up in life I've let go to save myself. I struggle with the idea of family values and religion. Processing the idea that my immediate family is gone forever while still trying to find purpose to live. But it is a relief to be away from the rage and manipulation.

You are the priority, Your presence on earth brings positive change. The narcissist is just a roadblock; an obstacle that you need to recognize and overcome in order to do your work. These words used to be hard to hear but I'm getting better. I'm also reminded of a belief that the Scientologists have that people from other dimensional worlds came here and dumped all their unreasonable and insane souls into a volcano somewhere. It's an interesting story and reminds me that there really are people that can't yet be helped. Or that maybe it's a job for someone else more qualified.

If it looks to good to be true, it probably is a good performance. All you have to do is test their motives. They eventually show us who they really are. I now can tell in just a small conversation, when I need to get away from this person. Would be very difficult to trick me now. God is so good.

I was taught my opinions didn't matter and out of six kids, I was the embarrassment. My siblings were gorgeous and I was the plain Jane one, so I had to recreate myself as the comedian in order to get any attention. In my relationships I had to do the same and it never mattered how I felt because my job was to entertain and be there at their time of need. I'm staying single now and living a solitary life because I need to learn negative from positive interactions so it's not repeated again

Thank you 🙏🏽...i have narcissist sibling and have had to block the 'family' group text, which this sibling started and insists everyone be on and contribute to. It is awkward b/c I love my parents and other sibling. I am the scapegoat for this individual. I can't tell my parents why I don't want to be in the group text or don't participate. I look like a bad person for not participating and i'm sure this individual uses my action to make me look bad to everyone who will listen. I came to the point where I just don't care what anyone thinks. I want my phone to myself and not to be constantly invaded by energies that I do not want and to be reminded of a person who has continually devalued me for a decade now. I don't know anyone who is in this situation w/the group text thing. It's very awkward. I feel alone, but I meditate and tell myself its the best thing I can do for myself.

@Gold Brick, hang in there, your parents probably realize there is friction. My mom called it a "friendly rivalry" between myself (the oldest) and sister 3 years younger than me. She's all been the righteous one, all "black and white" and I. The advocate for others the "nurse empath." I don't wear that like a badge, it hurts. I have something that I am aware of...my mom was raised by alcoholic father. My only excuse for being jumpy and easily moved to tears was I'm a grandchild of an alcoholic. I married an alcoholic (26 years). I feel that my self work will be more on that part of my life, never addressed. I have the "Laundry List," that is spoken about. So I'm almost 64 and I'm going to go to Adult Child of Alcoholic meeting and see if it helps. Love and peace to all. Thank you Andrew, great message.

Thank you, Andrew, for another great video to help us all get educated about narcissism! I have learned a lot from your videos, but one thing that I especially learned about the healing process from your channel is that you begin the healing process when you start to make yourself a priority, to show love and compassion for yourself, and to put all your energy and focus on yourself, to move forward in life, to understand narcissism, and to set healthy boundaries for yourself so you bring in more healthier people rather than more narcissists into your life. I am getting practice setting boundaries for myself these days. Some people understand when you set boundaries in a kind way but others are surprised and disappointed/angry/not accepting of the boundaries I'm setting for myself. I'm also learning that I don't need to apologize as often as I have been when trying to say no and setting boundaries. I still need more practice with boundary setting. People are surprised sometimes when I try to be the new me and set boundaries. Sometimes people test the boundaries I set but I stand firm but kind with the boundary setting. People start to respect you more when you set boundaries for yourself. Andrew, thank you for the beautiful pictures and words of inspiration you post in the mornings. It's very inspirational to be reminded daily to make yourself a priority and put all your energy into yourself as you heal. It has been a foreign idea to me up until the time that I started to watch your videos. It's one of the pieces that has been missing from my recovery process for several years, but now it's front and center in my recovery. Thank you!

Another excellent video, Andrew. Thank you. I am finding, about a month after cutting my malignant narcissist mother out of my life, that 1) part of the day (usually when I'm running) is spent thinking what a horrible person my mother was to me; and 2) how hyper-sensitive I am to slights in my daily life. Little things, like an inconsiderate neighbor, really vex me. But I'm giving myself a break on that. I just cut my mother of 60 years out of my life. I figure my emotions would be all over the place after such a "pivot." Overall, I know it was the right thing to do. Take care. Chris

@@NARCDAILYYouAreNotAlone Your videos have helped a lot. You really know the personality type. I had a professor in grad school who wrote a book about foster children abused by their parents. Most still wanted to live with their biological/abusive parents. So, I understand that it would be difficult to cut off one's mother at age 60. (I can't believe I'm that old, but that's what the birth certificate says.) I have a sense that I won't have a long life. But that's okay. I'm at peace with that. I have genuinely had a sense of freedom and peace internally after cutting off my mother from accessing my heart. One of the main things I've learned from your excellent videos is that the narcissist kind of 'feeds' off empaths like me. I feel hurt when someone abuses me, so I'm a perfect 'mark' for sociopathic narcissist bully who gets off hurting people. That she did it to her own son, a nice, sweet kid, a nice, sweet man, is really sick and disturbed to me. Take care. Chris

As I'm learning about narcissism, I'm having trouble understanding how a narcissist can flip personalities so easily going from good/kind to rageful/scary behavior very quickly and back and forth. Could you explain the reasons for how this dramatic personality change happens so frequently and easily with a narcissist? It's mind boggling. Thanks.
