The princess is delightfuly self-aware. She knows exactly how Low actually feels and calls him out when needed, and her logic for letting Red accompany them because having him wandering around unsupervised would be an even greater threat to the kingdom makes perfect sense.

Teltina being so excited by Red and the things he can do is clearly a representation of how kids see superheroes for the first time and think they're the coolest thing ever. And Red's looseness about having a bond very much reminds me of Kamen Rider Fourze. Who was all about being friends with everyone in his school and being the bestest bro to help you out when you're in trouble. Even if you yourself are the monster causing damage and harm.

I loved that at first sight of the mega zord the mage girl was dumb-struck (ep 1), but the hero was like "yeah whatever, been there done that", and the princess was like "soo cooool!!!" It's such a funny contrast of perspectives. It also shows how close-minded the mage girl's family may have become regarding what is possible versus impossible.

The Princess strikes me as someone who been rather sheltered for most of her life, thus up for some fun, while the hero is a overly loyal knight to the point if he could he would lock the princess inside of a room and keep her there for her own protection

Red isnt a parody. He is just straight out of a Sentai. Japanese fans even compare him to the red from 2 years ago, DON MOMOTAROOOOOOO from Avataro Sentai Donbrothers. A guy whos just a mailman and his iconic line "now we've made a bond", hes a very out there guy among the cast and Reds themselves. Another great ep, I enjoyed seeing all 4 cast members voiced and animated. I can't wait for whats to come.

Red himself isn't a parody, the parody comes from a completely played straight Sentai protagonist being placed in entirely the wrong world and still behaving like he's in his own show instead of conforming to the fantasy genre.

For that to happen, the bad guy would need to be behind Red.. So something like obvious villain in front of everyone, and sneaky second villain is getting ready to backstab Red. Suddenly Red transforms to deal with the obvious villain, incinerating the backstabber in the process. Or, with the current enemy who summons things behind Red, and Red is currently knocked out of his transformation, he transforms again with perfect timing to catch the summon just as it appears behind him. Maybe deliberate, but more likely by dumb luck.

What i loved about this show is that although its an isekai unlike others this isnt just one man defeats everyone. Its still based around teamwork , i get the op aspect of red but they managed to also make him balanced. Like the megazord cant be pilot alone he needs someone and if it wasn't for idola red wouldn't have last the giant behemoths . They managed to stay true to the sentai core infact this isnt even listed as isekai its shonen 😂 .

The first two episodes were just the rights size, but I agree ep 3 felt like two episodes worth of content.

Also Brandon you have to watch ep 4 of "I have a crush at work" even if you are not watching the show. Hydra was looking for how that field works and figured it out pretty quick, but acting would cause the monsters to attack them too. Funny enough, i thing thr guys spell works like "neutral zones" in pvp mmos, where you will be attacked if you act hostile, this world does have game elements to it.

Okay I’m gonna admit it, Ive been reading the manga since last week and I’ve been seen this part. My full opinion I don’t really like the knight right now and I love the relationship between him and red as it progresses from here. For the episode, not my favorite (nor was it my favorite part in the manga) but once they got to the city and seeing the seed magic + privilege magic, definitely better to me. I look forward to next week seeing what Ive seen animated. (I know I shouldn’t have read the manga but I really like this story and I don’t regret reading only because, we gonna see some GOOD stuff in the future of the anime. It’s my opinion but I still guarantee it’s gonna be good from here.)
