I use the gamagatsu round bend offset forged- can change how the front rigs to make it either dive down: or skip across the top- try rippin' it so fast it keeps jumping outta the water around topwater feeding smallies; or large brown trout. For trout- no pauses; fish it pike fast skippin+ rippin across the top.

I have a bag of chartreuse ones that's probably 30 years old, don't know where they came from, been in the tackle since I was a kid. Guess I should try one.

That hover rig with the one that the eye sticks out on an angle would help that bait from blowing out the water , then u could rig it straight I bet

Preferred the Original Sluggo . Without the grooves on the bottom and was fairly stiffer fished on an ewg . Hooked lots of Big bass using the Black with Chartreuse tail fished weightless , same retreive . here in South Africa , fished it in the summers .

I called him down on the black and chartreuse jig here in Oklahoma 🤦🏻‍♀️ he has talked about it so much 🤷‍♀️ I have started to experiment trying to find something as good 😂 and now the sluggo 😡
